We are heading to DLR through milwaulkee and they are supposed to get 3-6 inches of snow today through Tuesday. We are heading up there to stay in a hotel wednesday night.
Will this delay/cancel our flight that leaves Thursday?
TIA

3-6 inches of snow in the North will cause some minor delays and cancelations but nothing to be alarmed at. These airports are used to this and it will be business as usual for most flights.

As long as you have a ticket for Thursday you will take priority over those who were displaced from the storm.

It is impossible to say 100% that you won't have any issues but generally speaking you should be golden!

No one can say for sure, but if the snow stops Tuesday and your flight leaves Thursday, that's plenty of time to clear 3-6 inches of snow. You should be fine.

3" - 6" of snow over a 24 - 48 hour period is nothing, it will have no effect on flights directly, especially a few days later. Now if the storm changes, becomes heavier, etc, that can change things.

If Milwaukee took 3 days to clear 3-5 inches of snow they would have to just close for the winter! now 3-5 inches in an hour will have an effect but unless it is an ice storm 3-5 will not do much at all and certainly not 2 days later.

I just checked the weather, and we're supposed to get 3-6" up here (225 miles north of Milw), but they're only supposed to get 1-3" with it turning over to icy rain by a.m. So I would have absolutely no worries about getting out on time! Have a great trip!
