Let's start a list of what we need to take INTO the parks...
I really want to not take more than ONE medium backpack/sling.

-Money
-Tix
-ID's
-Sunscreen
-Water
-Towel
-Cooling towelettes
-Small books/cars for in line
-Mister fans
-Camera
-Videocamera

???????????What else

Just a few off the top of my head:
Band-aids
wipes/anti-bacterial gel
autograph books

I wouldn't take much in the way of toys, books..just because my kids sucker me into little things while in the parks and I hate to carry more than I need to. I try really hard to say no...but I'm a bit of a push over when it comes to disney!!

I carry a coupe of juice boxes and bags of crackers for snacking.

I carry the following in a small backpack:

- Wallet - tickets, money, ID, health insurance card (never know when an emergency trip to the ER might come along)
- Small First Aid Kid - band-aids, Neosporin, Immodium, Pepto, Tylenol (adult/children), EpiPen Jr. (son has latex allergy), Benadryl Fastmelts, Moleskin
- Swimsuits (only at MK and EC for water play areas)
- Extra shorts and underwear for dd2
- Autograph Book/Pen
- Camera/Extra Batteries
- Baby Wipes
- Sunscreen
- Small Plastic Bag (for wet swimsuits or clothes)

Vodka, rum, and a mixer :rotfl2: Just kidding :thumbsup2 Looks like a good list I also have taken a mini flashlight for night time use.

I guess it depends on how old your kids are, but one tip that I learned here and loved, was to get each of my kids their own fannypack, and let them fill it with snacks everyday. I bought a bunch of individual packs of crackers, granola bars, fruit snacks, and yes cookies too. That way they could pick what they liked in the morning, and eat whenever they felt hungry. They loved the independence, it saved money, and best of all, it was less for Mom and Dad to carry. I also put a small bottle of Purell into each of their bags, so they could clean their hands before they snacked.

I always bring an extra pair of shorts and a tee for when she gets wet in the water areas.

Band aids
Mister Fan - but remember to keep applying the sunscreen, DD got really burned one trip b/c we didn't think to keep reapplying the sunscreen that the fan washed off her face.

I also second - the juice boxes/water and small snacks.

If you are not returning to your room during the day, I would add glow sticks. My kids love these. We always have them at night. Either the sticks or the necklaces.

rain poncho
(if taking stroller) - stroller fan, extra large stroller sunshade attachment
small snacks
extra pair of cloths/swimsuit for the kids
extra camcorder battery (standard batteries )
Antibiotic ointment, bandaids (2-3 of each size), alcohol pads, cotton balls
Sunscreen
Small baby cooler bag with ice pack inside(or ice in ziplock bag) to keep wet wash cloths, and bottles/juice box/water cold. or you could freeze some and the frozen ones will keep the non frozen cold.

baby wipes for cleaning up little ones
hand sanitiz
toilet seat covers (they have pocket size travel packs of 10)

bendy straws
ziploc bags small and large

We need the List Fairy to make an alphabetical master list of everything. ;)

I still have the same pack from our 1997 trip. Seats must be pretty clean- I haven't had to open them yet. :rotfl2:

I also carry maps...and ring pops to keep the kids quiet in line...and lipstick. puckerup:

Also travel cups, to share drinks.

Boy that would be one heavy backpack if you added everyones list together. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Thank goodness my DH carries the backpack :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Wow, this is some list being generated by all of the replies! Personally, I have found that I tend to over pack for the parks, so I now try to minimize what I take. We are not going to the end of the earth and we can get needed supplies other places or return to the room. We usually only stay a few hours in the park (4 or 5) in the am and then several more hours at night, so we know we will be back in the room in a relatively short time.

*Small First Aid Kit (bandaids, Neosporin, Anti-itch cream, antiseptic wipes, Tylenol, Excedrin, fast melt Benadryl)

*Ponchos
*Sunscreen
*Baby Wipes
*a few dollars for small purchases
*Room Cards (contain tickets and can charge purchases and meal plan)
*Drivers License
*Water Bottle

In Animal Kingdom I pack an umbrella for shade. Boy that park is CRAZY hot!

Several people have listed baby wipes- a must for me is the individually packaged antibacterial wipes. This illuminates taking hand sanitizer and wipes. Love them! :)

I make sure I have my sunglasses (and dd's), something to put our hair back with when we're really hot, and my cell phone. :thumbsup2

Oh, and I almost forgot.........my hairbrush, for when I've been sweating profusely, or gotten off of Test Track, etc, and my hair's in my face! :teeth:
