Hello,

I'm in the market for some new shorts before we go to WDW, and I thought I'd ask around here to see what you all like to wear. I would really like to wear athletic shorts most of the time!

Are there any shorts you particularly like? Anywhere particular you buy them?

Thanks!

I just bought this pair of performance sport shorts from Lands End for our upcoming Disney trip. I would normally *never* pay $30 for a pair of shorts, but I decided to try them out and I'm glad I did. They're incredibly comfortable and the perfect length.

Sorry, I tried to post a link, but my paste feature on this computer is not working. If you search for "performance sport shorts" they're the first ones that come up.

So WDW is probably the only place I will wear them. I got a few pair of capris that roll up and button into bermuda length shorts. (at JCPenny)

Hello!

I love all the shorts at Old Navy!

They have short shorts and also longer ones! Perfect for Disney!!!

Enjoy!!

I prefer bermuda shorts. I work at the Gap so that's where most of mine are from. I live in bermuda shorts, tank top and flip flops in the summer!

I'm a mom of 3, a bit over 40 yrs. old and have discovered in the past few years that I really, really like skorts. They seem a little bit dressier than plain shorts, still are comfortable, but also hide that thigh area a bit. I buy them whenever I run across them, they are sometimes hard to find, have them in several styles from denim to solids like khaki, plus a few prints. Found some greats ones last summer at an Izod outlet, in the women's golf section I think. This summer I am pg. again  and was thrilled to find a maternity skort with a stretch panel!

I like the golf length shorts. I am short so longer bermudas don't look right on me and I have really ugly:guilty: knees and since they end right there you can't help but notice them :scared1: . It's not pretty. The golf length stop about 4 inches above them so they are a good length for those of us to old for the short stuff, and they hide a few more figure flaws. I also like the ones without pleats. I have a couple by Liz Claiborne. They are more expensive but also classic in style so I can use them as long as they hold up and not worry about being a fashion Faux Pax:lmao: .

I get all of my bottoms for disney at Academy because they have the CUTEST capri's and shorts at very cheap prices made with material that drys almost instantly after getting off the water rides.

I wear athletic type shorts that are quick drying. You can fine them at Target, WalMart, etc. I also sometimes wear "boardshorts" as they also dry quickly. We enjoy water rides but I don't like to walk around in wet clothes. The instant dry shorts are also comfy.

I'm sure I am in the minority - but I actually like to wear longish cotton skirts. They are so cool.

Eddie Bauer has wrinkle free 8 inch inseam shorts (perfect length for me). I love them.

LOL...too funny. I don't have short legs anymore..either. I just have short legs, period, and chubby...:rotfl:
But I wear capris, and when it's totally hot, I will wear shorts.

I, too, like long flowing skirts in the warmer weather. I just bought two from walmart the other day. One denim and one khaki. Those and my earth shoe sandals and a comfy tank and im cool as a cucumber. I also love skorts, or tricky skirts as my daughter calls them! Around the house I wear tshirts and gym shorts from Target.

I prefer the microfiber variety. EMS, LL Bean, Columbia, Walmart, Addidas. I'm not really brand loyal, but they must be comfortable and dry quickly. The moisture wicking is an added bonus. some brands have built in liners which also wick.

I like old navy also, but this year I have a new thing the low rise stretch denim. I have jeans, and shorts made like this. I really like them. I have had a hard time finding them at old navy, but at kolh's I found some lee ones.

You all are cracking me up about not having shorts legs. I used to worry about that, but when its that hot out, I really don't care what I look like. I figure if the dimples on the backs of my thighs give someone a thrill, then by golly, I'm glad I made their day! :rotfl2: If they are offended or humored by them...well, hahaha...their day will come too...fat and cellulite happen to the best of us! :lmao:

I wear a lot of board shorts. Love them to death! I also wear nice khaki type shorts with about a 4"-5" inseam, nothing long for me cause then they make my legs look even heavier (and I need no more help with that). I get a lot of my shorts from JCPenney & Kohls.

I wear alot of shorts from aeropostale and old navy. I still wear the shorter shorts but I also like the roll up and tie capris (the capris are to my husbands chagrin). I am fairly short and tiny- 5'2 and 110 lbs so my husband says that most capris and clam diggers make me look even shorter so he just hates them. He actually prefers shorter shorts and skirts. I haven't had anyone look at me terribly and I am the mother of 4 children. I figure go with what you are comfortable withand feel happy in!:thumbsup2
