Moms to be Part 4

Uhgg! I thought tonight was the night. I had contractions all day and finally they started getting regular and were about 5 min apart. So I really quick grabbed a shower. Well the warm water relaxed me and things slowed down. I was on the fence whether I should go in or not, but decided to be safe and go in since my other babies came pretty fast. Well, when I got in there, sure enough I'm having contractions 3 minutes apart but they aren't that strong ( I could barely feel them at this point) every 35 minutes or so I have a doozie that makes me stop and moan. So, I had my choice to stay - let them break my water and start speeding things up, go take a walk and see if I progressed, or go home and labor at home until I was having the doozie contractions every 5 minutes. Since it's been so long since I had a baby, I needed a reminder of what the doozies feel like I think...I forgot how they stop me in my tracks. I was starving and if I stayed I wouldn't be allowed to eat or drink..so I decided to go home and have dinner. So here I am. Don't think I'll sleep a wink tonight unless everything slows down. This could be tonight - tomorrow or a week from now. Frustrating.

Bummer....Keep us updated...as TODAY can be the day!!!! I was induced with both my DS so I made sure we had a good 'last meal' and I made sure before I went in at 7am for my induction that I ate b'fast!!!

Good luck!! Hope the baby came into the world!!

Do we have a baby???

No - I'm still pregnant! No contractions since Tuesday. I'm really anxious to meet the little guy and I had family that was in town this week so it would be nice if he came before they leave on Sat. I think he is just too comfortable.

Sally: I am due June 15 with a little girl, Charlotte Maria (Charlie). Welcome to the thread!

Wecome! We are leaning towards Liam for a boy!

Hi Nicole! Welcome! How exciting for you! Liam Connor! Not by chance Itallian are ya?

Welcome! I am not due until October 5th...

Thanks everyone!
@esbrick: No, not Italian. Just very Irish.:rotfl2:

I've been having a pretty rough week. DH left for OSUT at Fort Knox on Wednesday, so I'm pretty much an emotional wreck at the moment. I'm blaming it on the hormones though.:thumbsup2

Hope all you ladies are doing great!

So sorry your hubby had to leave. My DH was stationed at Fort KNox for years. But that was a long time ago.

Oh! It's just too comfy inside to come out! (If I was MY baby, I'd stay in today too... it's FREEZING here, don't know about where you are!)

I hope you are enjoying your company regardless!

I'm getting pretty nervous and anxious... We have our anatomy scan on Monday! I am so worried that something will be wrong. YouTube is a BAD thing sometimes! I am still REALLY hoping for a girl, but I have come to become excited for a boy, too! I just want to know WHO is growing in there! :goodvibes Either way, I just want a healthy baby without any problems. That is ALL I can hope for or want!

Hope ALL you ladies are doing and feeling well! Everyone enjoy their weekend!!! :woohoo:

Hi all! Just joining after ArielSRL suggested! I am 15 weeks today and am due Sept 17th! This is will baby #1 for DH and I. Of course it was the 1 month we were "trying" since we had my DN first trip to Disney planned Sept 11-17th. Oh well Disney will always be there but of course there has to be tons of commercials on right now just to tease me.

This is just a vent...I am not a first time mom, so one would think I would have big girl panties...but I don't!!!

I have started working 12 hours weekends, to prepare for the baby and to save on daycare costs. (the 3 kids would have been $1800/mo!!!) I LOVE working only weekends, but the day is long (I am a visiting nurse so a good part of my day is spent sitting/driving, but I do get out and walk to and from people houses). Yesterday I came home from work and could barely walk... The round ligament pain (which my dr informed me gets worse with each pregnancy!), the hip pain and the contractions were just too much last night. I considered calling the dr, but didn't. I went ot bed and cried instead! So I am at work today, and the pain is better than last night, but still there, so I know tonight will be the same, if not worse than last night.

Can it PLEASE be May?

ok....whine over.

Welcome Kerri Lee! Glad you joined us! You are very lucky that you got PG the first month trying! I know so many ladies that it takes a long time. We were lucky with TTC, too. It only took us 2 months the first time (our missed miscarriage), then 3 months this time! My doc says I have "super ovaries" being that I am 37 and ovulate righ ton time every month. I think it has to do with the fact that I was on birth control for 18 years! It saved my eggs and it regulated me! Kept my ovaries young!

I know what you mean about Disney. They commercials are everywhere and everyone I know seems to be going! We do have a trip planned for June but I am not sure we can take it with DH still unemployed! And if he gets a job, he probably won't be able to take the time off. I would love to go for my birthday (Oct 29), Halloween, and F&W Fest but with our little one due Oct 5, it would have to be Oct 2012 for a trip to Disney in October! LOL.

Do you have your anatomy scan soon? Hope all is going well!

I am sorry you are having to work so much over the weekends and that you are so tired. I hope it gets better soon and the time flies by!

Megs....Thinking of you today...hope all goes GREAT with your scan!!!!

So last night I ended up in L&D...for 4 hours!!!! I started leaking something yesterday but continued to work until I was done seeing patients and done with my paperwork. I called the on call dr and she said to go over. They hooked me up, no CTX, baby was being SO uncooperative and kept moving the minute the would put the monitor on. They said they would monitor me for 10 mins, then page the resident to come up andcehck me. OVER and hour later we finally asked someone what was gonig on. The table (yes, table) they had me on was REALLY uncomfy and my hips were killing me. Here, everyone had been called into an emergency c-section. They came in shortly later, did the nitrate test, which was negative. The dr did say she saw some 'secreations' in there which is prob what was leaking, and it was nothing to worry about. The best news....the baby is FINALLY head down!!!! We got home well after 9, ate something and went to bed.

I see the peri and the ob on Wed and start my NST next week. Only 8 more weeks to go!!!!

sorry to hear about your stay in l and d- wound have been nice had some one told you why you were waiting for so long!

as for your pain- have you tried a maternity support belt?
i am a physical therapist- so on my feet most of the day and had to use one with my second pregnancy because of bad back/siatica pain- i bought mine at babies r us and it really seemed to help- might be worth a look- good luck with the next 8 weeks!

Hello to all!

Megs- hope your anatomy scan goes well today!

I had my 28 week appointment on Friday and got to drink the lovely Glu-cola. So far I have not heard from the office, and they say they only call if you fail the test. Hopefully they won't be calling. I only gained one pound this past month, so at 28 weeks I am 5 lbs above my starting point.:cool1: It is not for any lac of eating, as we have been trying many different local restaurants. Heck, last weekend feast involed large amount of BBQ and fried oreos. I guess baby Charlie is just sucking it all in!

This weekend was crazy. We had two wedding to attend. The first was Saturday in St. Augustine, DH was a groomsmen. Then Sunday we drove 5 hrs to Miami for wedding #2, my cousins, only to drive 3 hrs back to Orlando that evening. We got home at midnight and I woke up at 5:30am to work today. I got out a bit early, so now I am just curled up on the couch resting.

We got the crib last week and it is all set up in her room! No mattress yet, but it is still surreal seeing the room come together. Not much else to report, this week and weekend should hopefully be much quieter than the last!

Hello Ladies! I hope everyone is having a good day!

Just got back from our anatomy scan! We are so excited to say that we are having a baby GIRL!!! Mom couldn't be more thrilled and dad is pretty excited himself!

Baby Girl was VERY cute but very uncooperative. She likes to face my back, and the tech had to shake her and I had to get up and try and get her to move. She is a WIGGLE WORM, just like her dad! Wouldn't stop moving all over the place!

She looks good and is growing perfectly! :)
