Good news....the baby is measuring right on and we saw a heartbeat. I go back again in 10 days.

:cool1:

I know how you're feeling.. we lost a baby back in 08, and then when we saw the heartbeat this time around, it was AMAZING. Just wait till you're about 12-13 weeks and get to see your baby really moving. There's no feeling in the world like that.

Talk about counter balance! I looked in the mirror the other day and almost started laughing...I'm not sure when my butt got so big, but there it was!

I bought some cocoa butter lotion today, I can't stand how my skin itches and I figured that would help with the itchy skin (and the stretch marks). Anyone else using anything that helps?

Me too - my butt seems to be getting huge this time! Even maternity pants that fit last time are tight on my butt/thighs this time already!

I don't have any help on the itchy skin, I can't seem to find anything that helps either.

We had an appt this morning, and they said all was well :goodvibes:. We were also able to schedule our big ultrasound for two weeks from today. I am so excited! The Dr said they could have seen the sex, but wanted to wait two more weeks to get really good views of the heart, etc.

Glad everything is going well and you got your big u/s scheduled!

Oh my gosh, if my daughter doesn't stop kicking my bladder.. I'ma go nuts! She is so crazy active right now, and I'm trying to nap, lol.

DS was the same way from about 18 weeks all the way until the end. I swear it seemed like he was awake and active almost all day. Luckily, he seemed to sleep at night b/c he didn't wake me up often.

Great news!

Ughhhh I'm getting sickies today. I can't stop coughing and I have this annoying tickle in my throat. If I have a hard cough, I automatically puke. Fun! I have nothing I can take and it's killing me.
Being pregnant and sick is the worst!

I have felt like that lately too, I hate it. I was the same way with DS during the 2nd trimester when I got a sinus infection. My OB suggested a spoonful of honey to coat the throat, and I think it helped a little.

I cry about the stupidest stuff these days... I just had an all on sob fest in my office (Thank god I can close the door) because as I was shaking my salad to distribute the dressing, the lid flew off and the salad landed on me and the floor.

ARGH! I was really looking forward to that salad. It's my favorite... Chicken, grapefruit, greens and a thai peanut dressing. Sweet DH is going to bring me another from the house.

Ahhh yes... been there done that! Especially when it comes to food!

Aww, we all do it - especially when it comes to food. :grouphug:

I love Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice but they often make me cry, even when I'm not pg, so I have to watch what time I watch them from the DVR.

I cried today because they couldn't catch the llama on the show I'm watching..

Yeah, today is one of those days.

You are not alone at all.

About two months ago I was having a bad day and went in to fix my lunch. I was having chicken with a can of green beans. I opened my can of green beans and took the lid off only to discover I had opened a can of green peas. I said "these aren't green beans" and burst into tears. Of course that was because of the clomid and not pregnancy yet. My thought is that the pregnancy hormones cannot be worse than the clomid side effects. :rotfl:

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only crazy pregnant lady!!! I swear my husband is some sort of saint... either that or he secretly is planning to commit me.:rotfl:

Wow today is a day of complaining. I think baby just turned head down and OWWWWWWWWWWW it freaking hurt. I had no idea it would hurt that much. I just hope he actually did it and didn't only go part way.

Ughhh.... I just love having negative blood. Not!

I had some blood last night so I called the on-call to see if I needed to go in. Yep, he wanted me to get Rhogam ASAP. So he said to go to L&D, tell them and they'd call him. So I get there and they have no one there, which is typical if no one is laboring. So I went to maternity. Two nurses there but neither were allowed to do L&D so they had to call the one scheduled to be up there and pull her from another service.
Except I'm 17 weeks so the service she was on didn't want her to go because under 20 you're supposed to go to the ER.
So when the maternity nurses told me, I told them that I wasn't going to the ER so if the oncall OB called to see why no one had called him for the Rhogam order, they could tell him I went home. I wasn't TRYING to be a witch, I just wanted them to be able to tell him what happened. I wasn't sitting in the ER for hours to get a shot when he specifically told me to come to L&D to get it.
So they called the L&D nurse back and she said she'd come up to take care of me. She called him, got the order, admitted me as outpatient and the lab said they couldn't give her Rhogam until they typed my blood. UGHHHH. I was born there. All my lab work was just done there less than 2 months ago. I had my son there. There are millions of pieces of documentation that my blood is O-. Nope. They needed blood tonight before they could release Rhogam.

So we waited for an hour. We just talked and then she ordered from the local Italian restaurant and asked if I wanted anything. :rotfl:
Luckily, it was a nurse I was really familiar with -- she was the one who took care of me for every single gallbladder attack I had with DS and the one who admitted me to have DS and started my induction.

So that was a fun night. I got there at about 9:30, it took them 45 minutes to figure out what to do with me and by the time the lab finished with my blood it was midnight when I got the shot and got to come home. Right as their food was delivered, haha..

I just can't imagine waiting in the ER for that shot. Waiting HOURS for a bed (because obviously everyone would have a more serious issue than I did) and then waiting hours to see the ER doc so that they could call the on-call OB and he could order the Rhogam. Then I'd of waited on someone to draw my blood, send it to the lab and then I might have finally gotten my shot. No thank you. I don't think it's any wonder why he sent me to L&D and NOT the ER.

Oh gosh that reminds me of the time I was sent in by my Dr. for IV fluids... Ugh! I'm sorry It was so frustrating for you, I feel your pain!

Gah. I don't think my OB is very happy that they didn't do any tests. Her nurse was like "They didn't do an ultrasound?? Surely they did a pelvic exam!" Nope. I have to go in later to see my OB today, she wants to make sure all is well.

Oh, well. Hope everyone else had great weekends!!

Gah! I'm RH- too... what a PITA. Let us know how the dr appt turns out...

(Is your DH RH+? I went to a practice once where they didn't even care what your husband was, if you were negative they MADE you get the shot. I left them, despite the fact that DH is B+ and I knew I would need Rhogham... morons.)

No, they asked me if I knew my DH's blood type. He was in the military so we knew without a shadow of a doubt what his blood type was (A+)... but had we not, my OB was going to write an order to type him.

DS ended up being A+, too... so this was my 3rd Rhogam injection.

Piecy: Sorry it had to be so difficult. Hope all is well when you go back to your OB

I cry about everything too some days; other days I am ok. I've always been a crier, but it is really turned up lately.

I got a swimsuit this weekend. Ugh, it looks more like a circus tent. At least I look definitely pregnant in it, KWIM? I'm starting to really "pop" out more now and look pregnant, which is fine by me. I didn't like being sort of in-between where people were guessing pregnant or fat and probably coming up with fat :-/

We are going on a cruise in 3.5 weeks and I am greatly ambivalent towards it. Usually I really look forward to vacation but for some reason I'm just not interested. IDK if it's because I'm not feeling really well a lot of the time, or my hormones, or what, but I'm just not feeling it. Not that I'm ungrateful that we get to go or anything...it's just an odd feeling for me; usually I'll do just about anything to get away from here!

Well, she had to try a few different places but finally found a heartbeat. 156... and said she could hear the baby moving around.

She did a pelvic exam and said everything looked perfect. She also moved my ultrasound up to tomorrow (woohoo!) because she said it could be a subchrionic hemmorhage (I probably mutilated that spelling!) and she wanted to get a look before next Monday. She also said it could have been absolutely nothing but to absolutely call everytime I have bleeding.

Irisbud, I hope you do enjoy your cruise! Where all are you going? Who are you sailing with? I'm so jealous! I love to travel. :)

Piecy: That sounds like good news, though I'm sure the bleeding was scary! SO you get to have the ultrasound to find out the gender tomorrow! Exciting!

We are doing a cruise on Norwegian out of NYC that stops at Port Canavrel (one of the excursions is WDW, but it is WAY too pricy for a few hours since we have DVC and can go alot), their private island Great Stirrup Cay, and Nassau with a few at sea days. It's a seven night and we are going with friends and have adjoining balcony staterooms, so I'm sure it will be fun. Plus DH and I are doing a couple of days before and after in NYC (he has never been) and seeing the Lion King on Broadway. I know it will be fun once we get there; I think it's just my hormones, and I am a little neurotic about being out at sea if something goes wrong (which I keep telling myself it won't)! I just slipped in under their rules; you can't be at 24 weeks on the last day of the cruise and I'll be at 22.5. I could have gone the next week, but that would be it!

Piecey - So sorry to hear about your scare but happy to hear evetrything sounds like it's just fine :) Hope you find out the gender tomorrow!

Anyone else having trouble finding decent maternity clothes that don't look tent-like??? I don't know what it is, but everything is soooo long (and I am fairly tall at 5'7"). I tend to carry small so maybe that's the problem. I actually resorted to just buying tops in a larger size but pants are an issue......and I hate to spend lots of money on clothes that will only be worn for a few months...UGH

Hello all! We just found out on Friday that I am pregnant with our second. My DD is 14 months old. We aren't going to tell anyone we know for a few more weeks so I need to talk about this to someone other than my husband!! haha I should be due around Nov 30th but don't have my first appointment until end of April.

During my first pregnancy I was working 60-70 hour weeks but now I'm at SAHM so I'm really looking forward to keeping up the active lifestyle I've been able to adopt with the additional time I have. Any good suggestions? I go to the gym and am going to try yoga and for now will stick with my usual routine. (Dr. said it's ok)
