Hello!

I'm thrilled to say that we are expecting our 1st baby--due January 22! I'm 13 weeks along, so there's still quite a ways to go, but we are super excited! I'd love to join the group here. :)

Hey there! Congratulations! I remember you and I think if I have the right person we may have the same wedding anniversary, 12/13?

Some small updates. . .

Can't remember if I mentioned this but at our last Dr appt. Dr. I told us that BBK was measuring big, like 3lbs 10 ounces big! I think that the size of BBK is diminishing my hopes for a vag birth but I just want him out as safely as possible so whatever we gotta do we'll do. At our L&D class it was pretty funny when the RN who was teaching asked who, if anyone, was planning on a medicated birth I put both hands in the air while my other classmates, whom bear in mind i have a good 10 to 15 years on age wise looked at me dumbfounded! The RN laughed and said! Awesome! I'lll personally make your pain coctails and be there!

Last night we were watching, of all things, Gene Simmons Family Jewels,:thumbsup2 and low and behold who starts crying, ME! It was a story of Sharon finding a picture for a lady in a nursing home named Esther. The picture was of her late husband. Mike was staring at me cause usually he's the one who gets misty while I laugh at him. Vengence was his!!!!!

Then, I found out over the weekend that my SIL's are throwing me a Baby Shower!:goodvibes I'm so excited! This news also started another very misty moment for me! The shower is supposed to be on August 6th. Mike is just all smiles and so am I!:love

So after all that good stuff I must say I'm uncomfortable today. I feel like I need a massage. My whole core is kinda weak and tired. I mean I'm ok but I would love to lie down for a bit and I'm sure sitting at a computer all day isn't helping.;)

So that's my news in a nutshell! Hope everyone is well adn so excited to read some new stories too!

Meg ~ Let us know how your doing as well:)

Welcome! Glad to see you here from the TTC board! :thumbsup2
You are about one week ahead of me! The RE gave us the due date of 2/3 based on when I O'd. The OB is giving us 1/30 based on LMP. I think that 2/3 is more accurate for me, but publicly we are telling people 1/30 and that I'm 12 weeks so there's consistency with the OB; and it's always nice to think about being just a smidge bit farther along ;) The baby is gonna come when he/she wants to so in the end I think the 5 days difference isn't such a big deal.

I have my monthly OB appointment on Friday and I assume I'll get my paperwork to schedule my GTT then.

Whoo hoo! I'll be right there with you on Wednesday! Have my GD test tomorrow morning, then we'll see Harry Potter if I feel up to it.

Got our crib and changing table from MIL, SIL, And SFIL today and DH put them together! YAH! We'll get the bedding from my DB and SIL Friday night to decorate for the shower Saturday. I also ordered my glider last night (my parents gave me some money and DH's grandmother sent us some money). Things are coming along!! So exciting!

How did the test go? Did you get to see HP? Are you so excited fo rthis weekend?

the baby is moving around quite a bit. and running out of room!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Just popping by to say hi. :goodvibes Hope everyone is doing well dealing with this summer heat.

I'm 26 weeks now, time is flying by!

The heat has been brutal! I know all my in-laws in Alabama would make fun of me, but I'm a Chicago girl that isn't used to the heat! DH and I went to a soccer game at Soldier Field yesterday and boy was it hot. DH was worried about me being dehydrated, I think we went thru 5 water bottles in the first half of the game!
I'm finally starting to feel better! :woohoo: Every once and a while I get a little nauseous but it is not that often and passes pretty quickly. It's so nice to be feeling mostly normal again.
I had my 12 week appt on Thursday which went well. Heartbeat was heard :lovestruc and was 168 bpm. Everything else was great.
I'm trying to figure out when my shower will be with my family. We need to work with MIL :rolleyes1 since she won't fly alone and FIL has a crazy work schedule. MIL wanted to have it in early October, which I thought was way too early. So we are trying to figure out a weekend in November (we all could agree that having it before Thanksgiving would be best, people are less busy).
Hope all is well with everyone else!

I was sick till 17 weeks and then finally got rid of the nausea/vomiting. It makes a huge difference, so glad to hear you are feeling better. :)

That's a strong heartbeat, congrats! :goodvibes

Hello Ladies!!!

Wow! So glad to see the new faces!!! Welcome Chloe (I assume that's your name! ;)) and ead79! :goodvibes

I sure hope everyone is beating the heat and staying cool and comfortable, and enjoying summer!!! :thumbsup2

I'm just trying to keep my eyes on the prize and stay positive! When we were going thru IF I was always so annoyed by people complaining about not feeling well in their pregnancy, when it was something I so desperately wanted, so I always vowed that I would never complain about not feeling well (except to DH of course ;) )
This is SO funny you said this! When I was first pregnant, I was extremely sick. I was eventually diagnosed with Hyperemesis, but before that, I made the mistake  of posting how awful it was to be sick and how I couldn't cook or do much else, and pretty much was CHEWED OUT by the TTC'ers. I totally understand where they are coming from, I do, but I just thought, "Oh, just wait! Your day will come! And no matter how much you WANT that baby, you will HATE being sick!" :rotfl: But in all seriousness, I am SO sorry you are sick. Are you on Zofran or anything? I wouldn't wish morning sickness on my worst enemy! I truly hope you are feeling better now!

E, that is SO FUNNY about your emotional breakdown! LOL! Today I had an emotional breakdown over a piece of TAPE! :sad2: :confused3 :rotfl:

And YAY on the baby shower! How fun! I'm so excited that someone is throwing you one!!! I can't wait to hear all about it! (August 6th is my personal "guesstimated" due date... I hope to be giving birth while you are opening presents! :cheer2:)

But here is my update...

Still on bedrest. My last appointment yielded high blood pressure... again, but I wasn't spilling protein, so it kept me out of the hospital. I am SUPER swollen this week with headaches, and have been feeling off, so I will have a bag packed just in case on Wednesday, which is my next doctors appointment. I'd really like to just be induced. I'm REALLY uncomfortable at this point.

Ava's room is 99.5% done! I just need some frames for one wall. I am having the HARDEST time finding white frames that aren't all scuffed up. Everywhere I send DH, he comes back with the bad news that he couldn't find anything that wasn't scuffed or dirty. :sad2: I might just paint them white myself... I'll post some pictures tomorrow!

Nothing else to report from me! Hope everyone is well!

Sorry to hear that your hope for a vag birth is diminishing but like you, I agree that whatever gets the baby out safely is ok by me! At our birthing class, everyone there must want pain meds b/c thats all they ask our nurse about and she isn;t too big on the epidural, I can tell. For me, i am pretty sure i am going with one, but will keep an open mind and see what happens.

I am major emotional these days, crying at the littliest things, such as the birth videos at l&d class...lol. Also, we got our pack-n-play from MIL, SIL, and SDIL and it was the wrong one. SIL knew exactly which one I wanted b/c we discussed the price, yet they still got the wrong (cheaper) one. When I realized it yesterday when putting all my shower gifts away, I started bawling..and then felt so dumb about it. We'll just exchange it.

YAH to baby shower. I had mine Saturday. It was pretty good except, there always seems to be drama within my family and drama with Chad's family, so that kind of weighs on me but I can't worry too much about it. I will say that a lot of people did not buy off my registry and thats kind of annoying just b/c they all got clothes and we have so many clothes! I have piles of things to return/exchange today. I hate to sound ungrateful, b/c we apreciate the thought and the time and the money that was spent. I just wish people would have looked to see we didn't need clothes. I mean, I'd rather they spent less and got things we don't already have. But, again, I feel a little ungrateful complaining so I am going to stop.

I'm a few days behiond you, so I am getting uncomfortable sitting as well. It hurts my back to stay sitting in the same place and its hard to catch my breath. Getting out of seats and the bed is getting a little harder. Bending over kills me. I hate the stairs in my house...lol. My neck is hurting, not sure why, except I sat on the floor and tried to organize AJ's room yesterday.

I go back to work on Monday, so I am trying to get as much done this week as I can. Its gonna be a tough last 2 months.

Why do OB's always want to go with the LMP?? :) I know exactly when I O'd b/c of temping and using OPKs, but the doc won't go with that date. I O'd early at CD11 as opposed to CD14 like I normally do, so I want to go with O date b/c it is sooner! :)

How did the test go? Did you get to see HP? Are you so excited fo rthis weekend?

Test went great, got my results in the mail and I passed! YAH!

Yep, got to see Harry Potter that day, as well. Some people mention that they feel really bad all day after drinking the stuff for the glucose test so I was worried, but I was totally fine. I had just finished the last book (had it since it came out but hadn't read it til this summer) and so I was supplementing what was happening on the screen with book stuff in my mind, which made it really good...lol!

I live in GA so I have it like your relatives. It is really hard being preggo in thsi heat. I often don't feel well, and b/c everyhting checks out ok (bp, glucose, etc) I think it has to be the heat. And I am bad...I don't drink enough water. I am due Oct 5th, so most likely, I won't get any relief before baby comes, b/c temps don;t really start to go down until later in October here.

YAH to 12 weeks and hearing the heartbeat!! Hope you get your shower worked out!

Thanks. Yes, trying to get as much done as I can before I go back to work Monday. I am gonna post some photos to Shutterfly (I hope) so I will have some to post soon.
