Adi - I hear you on the house hunt. We had our offer accepted last night on our first house!! Now on to the stressful financing stuff. I am SOOOO FREAKED OUT that we are going to lose all the money in our bank account and won't get the financing pushed through ....

THANK YOU!! We are doing the offer paperwork RIGHT NOW. . . hopefully it gets accepted so we can close ASAP! Everyone in the family pretty much has seen the house (DH and I, my mom and stepdad, and today my inlaws) and everyone likes it. It is a little further south than we wanted to be - but only by a couple miles, so not too bad. I'm really hoping that we can close ASAP and get the nursery set up, oh and that we have no issues getting the loan - though it will be fairly low after the down payment (116K to finance), so hopefully that will help. I pray the bank likes our offer best. . . hoping you don't have any issues with the financing either!

Adi - $116K wow, that's great! Do you have a major downpayment or is this a bank owned property? We are financing closer to $270K ... ouch ... it's hard to come up with more than a min. down payment these days.

Started back to work today. It was a looooong day. If all goes as planned I will teach for the next 7 weeks, then take maternity leave and return after Thanksgiving...but we all know about babies and plans!

Cappygirl - your bladder should be empty. The only ultrasound mine needed to be full for was at 6 weeks, all the others it didn't matter.

It is bank owned (foreclosure), and we are doing a pretty decent down payment - since my in-laws are kindly offering to help with the closing costs we don't have to worry about that. House prices have gone WAYYYYY down in Miami, so that also helps. The bank can ask for what it is out - but they also have to keep in mind that they can't ask for more than it is appraised for either - no bank will approve a loan for a house that isn't worth what you are paying.

THANKS!! We are REALLY hoping and praying that we can get something soon. . . even if the ONLY thing donw is the nursery - or at least a bassinet in my room, lol. I want to bring this baby home to OUR home Hopefully God's plans align with my own because I know I am not the one totally in charge here.

I have 2 questions.... anyone color their hair while pregnant? My doctors office said that it was ok, but I was just curious. Also, any home remedies for blemishes. My skin is really breaking out and I know that I can't use anything with salycilic acid or benzoyl peroxide. That eliminates a lot!

I go in for a check up today. Hopefully the doc can give me some ideas on sleeping better. Lying awake, staring at the ceiling every night is not so fun!

We should be scheduling my ultrasound at this appointment, too. I can't wait!

Quick question for those of you beyond 20 weeks....did you need a full bladder for your 20 week ultrasound?
Mine is coming up on Thursday and it dawned on me that nobody gave me any instructions about drinking water this time.

Every single time we've walked into the doctor's office, they've had my wife fill a cup and then they've done the ultrasound, so I am going to guess 'no'.

I started back teaching last week and I am going to be here for 6 weeks and returning right after Thanksgiving too! But just like you said, who knows what the baby thinks!

I can't speak to the hair color question, but I have heard that it's OK while preggers. What I started doing for my face while I was pg w/ the twins was simply scrubbing my face w/ a plain wet washcloth in a steamy hot shower, the gentle exfoliation w/ the washcloth was enough to keep my skin looking pretty good. Give it a shot & see if it works for you.

Woohoo, my ultrasound is in just over 3 weeks!! I can't wait!! Heartbeat was good today, 155. I hope these next 3 weeks go by quickly!

I colored my hair when I was pregnant with my son, and I haven't noticed that it affected him in any way! lol. I also colored it last week, and my dr has never mentioned anything about not getting it colored.

I am still nauseous, but not as much. I am still throwing up 4- 5X per week, but that is much better than twice a day!!

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going by! I am ready for it to slow down some!!! My son has started crawling and is getting into EVERYTHING!! I have no idea what I am going to do with two babies!

Our NT scan went well and I think we do the anatomy scan on October 1st. Can't wait!

My doc told me that the reason people say you can't dye your hair while pregnant is because the ammonia makes a lot of women nauseous, but that there is nothing dangerous about it. I went to a Paul Mitchell salon and had what they call a PM shine, which is similar to a dye but with no ammonia, and it is designed to make the hair shinier. I really like it!

I also had the same problem with breakouts, and just started using Philosophies face wash (can't remember the name, but I got it at Sephora), I really like it so far!

Hey! Thanks, it was the same way with my son, and it died down around 17 weeks, so hopefully I'm close to the end!!

I delivered at Baylor Medical Center of Frisco, and I LOVED it! Everything is nice and brand new, all rooms are private, the food is really good, and the staff was great! I can't wait to go back! It was almost like a mini vacation (without the sleep )

That is where we are delivering at! We start our prepared childbirth classes either next Tuesday or the Tuesday after, I can't remember which, guess I should figure that out!

I totally understand your DH's feeling about not posting pics.
I am sure he is absolutely precious. I remember when my DS had to have blood drawn, it is not fun as a mother. I hope the jaundice clears up soon.

If you have time post your labor story, we would love to hear all about Landon making his way into the world. You were lucky he was early, my princess took her own sweet time.
