Hi everyone! I've been around for a couple of weeks but didn't want to say anything until we had our 10-week appt, which was today! So I'm here to say hello and join the group! This is our first and we're really excited (and a little nervous!). My due date is late January, so we have a little while to plan! Thanks to everyone for the updates! They've been great!
Also, by looking at my signature, we're planning a trip to Disney World and I should be about 16-weeks at that point. If anyone has any tips regarding rides, food, etc while we're there I would greatly appreciate it!!

OMG I have cramps! Finally a sign of progress!

They feel so weird after not having any for so long! It's a dull steady ache--doesn't come and go so I guess they're not contractions...

Cramps are a sign of progress?? I guess I've been progressing without knowing it then cause I have been cramping a lot in the last couple days. I didn't think it meant anything though cause my dr. said that was normal this late in the pregnancy.

Maggie, love the 4-d picture! He's a real cutie :goodvibes

Yay for all the registry peekers, LOL!!!

I am such a planner and I don't expect anyone to get anything necessarily, it is our job to provide for our baby. I was freaked out because we registered for our travel system and he can't come home without a carseat obviously so I was getting worried and wanted to just buy it but someone else did :yay::woohoo: At least he can come home now, the rest of the stuff is we can make do without if need be.

Instead of packing a hospital bag (since it's early and I'll likely forget what I put in there) I am making a hospital drawer. Everytime I think of something I will need I just throw it into the drawer so I don't forget!! It's working great so far and if in an emergency I need stuff I can just throw it into a bag and run out the door.

That is a really good idea about the drawer! I may do that as I get closer - still feels too far away with 15.5 weeks, give or take, left.

He's so handsome!! How far along are you now?? That is a great picture. PS no one would be upset if you share more than one ;)

I went to WDW back in May at 19 weeks. My suggestions would be to be sure to stay hydrated. Also, rest while others are riding things you can't BUT be sure to do something that will keep you entertained and cool - like sitting in a store, reading, or people watching. . .

I rode lots of stuff, but no thrill rides. . . keep in mind also that we only went to the parks two days, so I didn't ride as much as I could, simply for times sake.

What I rode and ate:

At AK -
Safari, BUT ask to go on the handicapped one b/c it is less bumpy/fast :)
Tough to be a Bug
Flame Tree BBQ is my favorite Table Service, yummy chicken and ribs.

Epcot -
Soarin'
We ate lunch in Japan, and it was pretty good, but not great.

HS -
Toy Story Midway Mania - we rode this 6 times, so much fun
I also went through one man's dream while my family did TOT and RnR, I had never before and was glad I did, especially the movie at the end!
We saw fantasmic and that was awesome.
We had dinner at 50's prime time, it was FABULOUS! Always love this place, especially the s'mores for dessert.

MK -
Pirate's
Mickey's Philharmagic
Winnie the Pooh (2x's)
Haunted Mansion (2x's)
small world
Watched Wishes!
Ate lunch one day and dinner another at Peco's Bill - YUM YUM, especially the toppings bar!
Had two dole whip floats, one each day we were here, LOVE these.

We also ate at Kona Cafe for Dinner, the Wave for Dinner and Boma for Dinner - all were amazing!

The trip was more about just being at WDW/experiencing the magic, spencing time with family and eating (I was newly done with "morning" sickness and thrilled to eat yummy WDW food). Don't think too much about what you are missing. . . there is still plenty to do, and you can always go back and get on those thrill rides!

Thanks Adi... im in my 30th week of pregnancy... 29.1 days WOW it goes by fast. I know you think 15 weeks now.. but gosh I can remember 15 weeks like it was YESTERDAY! This pregnancy has flown by for me thus far. I have a feeling the rest will too (Although i hear the last 10wks.. also known as the "home stretch" tend to take forever).

I'm at 24w5d. . . so about 15w2d left (give or take). I just can't wait to meet her, but obviously want her to stay in there long enough! I am doing a 4D at 26 weeks and then one at 32 weeks. . . . hopefully we get good shots of her! Good luck on the "home stretch"!

Now I'll go back to laying on the couch, writhing in my misery of being hungry and sick all at once.

I have my glucose test tomorrow! It is not until 1:50 in the afternoon so I have to eat something!

Any suggestions on what NOT to eat? I know obviously don't go on a sugar overload!:lmao: But should I not eat ANYTHING sweet?

I was told to stay away from white rice, white bread, grapes and grape juice the week of and no ice cream the day before. I would suggest to no carbs until after your test so you can get an accurate reading. Omelet for breakfast and your favrite protein (chicken, steak, tuna, etc.) for lunch with some veggies. . . then your test and then have whatever.

Okay, I hate to sound whiny but I need to vent somewhere and I know you all would understand better than anyone. I honestly don't have any other pregnant women to talk to so bear with me :lmao:

I feel like crap lately! I have ZERO energy, I'm sore, crampy, and really irritable. I am on my feet all day and I end up with an aching back and swollen ankles. It's been getting up to 100 degrees here everyday (102 today actually) and the heat is miserable. I don't know how much more I can take :headache: I know I just have a few weeks left but the end feels like it's sooooo far away.

Sorry to unload all that here but I don't really have anywhere else to do it. Thanks for listening! :teeth:

I feel your pain! I have been sick the entire time I have been pregnant. I still get sick. Nausea and vomiting. So believe me, I know where you're coming from! It's awful! I hope you feel better soon

There is no such thing as WHINY on this thread, we are here to support one another!

Sorry you are feeling so crappy. You should ask if your Dr. gives B-12 shots, my midwife does (though I haven't gotten one) and I have heard that it really helps boost your energy levels, especially at the end. May be worth asking.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll have to ask her at my next appointment. That sounds like something that would help a lot since energy is something I have very little of these days.

I swear I'm trying to stalk less, you guys... but....

Veronica, did your OB put you on Iron supplement pills? They boosted my energy but I'd ask before taking them. They might help you, too!

*ETA*
IF anyone on their search for baby bedding comes across penguin bedding, would you let me know? My friend, that was TTC, told me today she is expecting and I've known forever she wants a penguin nursery... but so far all I can find is over $600!!
TIA.

I think the general reccomendation is to eat low carb & high protein before the GTT.:goodvibes

I ate tons of sweets the week leading up to my glucous test because no one told me I was going to take it and I was craving cupcakes SO bad!!! Right before I went I had mac and cheese, a soda, and a yogurt and I passed! I couldn't believe it.

Patsy I found these custom Happy feet sheets on Ebay for 40 bucks. http://cgi.ebay.com/3-PCS-PENGUIN-H...0?hash=item1c07f9a052&_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 She could easily just put a solid bumper and crib skirt.

Don't stop stalking, we (at least I) like you around here!

Anyhow, congrats to your friend who was TTC!!
