Okay, I told you I'd report back about baby announcements.

Ordered 70 front/back from VistaPrint. They came very quickly!
They're not on traditional photo paper, they're on a heavy cardstock but I'm happy with the quality of the paper. I ordered "glossy" finish and it looks just as great as photopaper would!

The ones I did were front...

...and back:

Envelopes were included and with the sale it was $29.22 for 70.

I am very happy with how they turned out! :)

Ooooh!! Those look great!! Love that they are front and back for that price!! And the pics are awesome!

Patsy those turned out great! Was that a format that you did yourself or was it a fill in style from Vistaprint?

----------------------------------------------
I go for my one hour glucose test tomorrow. I'm bringing a water bottle with ice just in case they don't have it cold for me. That's the only thing that I've heard that seems to help. Anything else I might need to know? (Besides not eating a sugar sweet breakfast?) :teeth:

Those look awesome Patsy! I'll definitely have to look into VistaPrint when Jake arrives. My mom ordered my baby shower invites from tinyprints but they were pretty pricey. They have so much to choose from but if I see something I like on VistaPrint I'll have to go with them instead.

Sarah, I LOVE the mural for Lily's room. It's gorgeous! Your DH did a really great job :goodvibes

DisneyRon, I am so excited for you! I hope Emma comes this weekend like you dreamed :thumbsup2

Valerie, thanks for all the great info on the pumps. I appreciate it!

Sarah, I love the mural. Nice work by your DH.

:cloud9: Baby News !!!!!!! :cloud9: I had my appointment and we are making more progress. I am 3 cm. dialated & 50% efaced. I told Dr. about my dream and she said it would not surprise her one bit if I went tomorrow. Dr. guesses the baby's weight to be 7 1/2 to 8 lbs. My BP was 120/85, and I gained a pound. (makes total weight gain 4lbs) Emma's heartbeat was a strong 138. If nothing happens over the weekend my next Dr. visit is Monday. Cross your fingers for a baby over the weekend.

Fingers crossed!

I go for mine next week (Tues. morning). My doctor told me not to eat anything sweet the day before and it would help to prevent a false positive (also the morning of). My doctor also said to fast... she said its not necessary but a lot of people who dont fast end up taking the 3hr test.

Id be interested in tips as well-- since mine is next week :)

Well crap. They didn't tell me to fast at all...and I haven't had anything too sweet (like candy or cookies but did have a fruit popcicle after dinner...)

And you know what?! My bagels have a ton of sugar in them! And milk has quite a bit too (after researching gestational diabetes it was interesting to see all the carb counts in every day foods...) Maybe it's time to call my girlfriend that works in OBGYN... I'll be back! :rotfl:

...and her response was it depends on the dr. My appointment is bright and early so really no need for sweets early; I'll just have some scrambled eggs instead of cereal for breakfast. I'll let you know how it goes!

I think my dr just meant not to eat the morning of the test.

Dont worry too much! Im sure you will do great! Please let me know how it goes... im not too eager to have mine next week other than hopefully getting it over with! Ive got to eat all the chocolate chip cookies i made last night before the end of the weekend (shouldnt be too hard).;)

OMG he is just so precious! I can't wait till my little man is here!!!

I took mine today and it was cold and didn't taste bad actually. Maybe I am just odd but I was pleasantly surprised at the taste during/after. I wasn't warned at ALL about mine so no idea if there's anything else.

I know I am going to be taking the 3 hour because I had no idea I was even taking the test and for lunch I had mac and cheese and yogurt. Not too bad but carbs and sugars. I hate my doctor - he never tells me anything!

I have no air conditioning right now... I live in Florida and have no AC. I think I might spend the night in the bathtub, I have already taken one cold shower. We came home from my doctors appointment and noticed that even though the AC was set to 73 it was 80 in the house. We are going to call first thing in the morning and someone better fix it. I have a feeling that the place the appliances have a service agreement with is closed on the weekends. They are not going to like me if it isn't fixed tomorrow morning!!!

Melissa, hope the A/C gets fixed soon.

Patsy, I love the accouncements.

I have to say I have felt the best I have in a while this past week. Even sleeping has been good. I feel like I have really dropped, sooooooooooooon I hope!!!!!

Keep you all posted.:cloud9:

I want to get a pregnancy pillow and was wondering if anyone has one they recommend?I saw the ones that are really long and then I saw some shorter wedge type ones. What does anyone like?TIA

Well, we are back from a week at the World. I am just now starting to feel a little queasy (felt awful on the plane ride home last night!), but it was a great time! Really hot and humid, but going back to the hotel for nap/swimming really helped. Sleeping in my own bed felt fabulous last night!

Thanks. :goodvibes Can't wait to see pictures of Landon!! :yay:

:scared1: on no AC. Our AC went out (we JUST had it installed, too) and my husband called them and they lady goes "We only send people out after hours for emergencies" and DH went "It was installed less than two weeks ago, this is the third time we've had to call and my wife is VERY pregnant which is an emergency within itself!".... they were here in a half hour. :rotfl:
Hope things get straightened up for you.

Well I'm back from my appointment. Tastes just like flat orange pop and went down fine. I did have eggs about an hour before my appointment and they didn't say anything about that so I guess that was fine. Drew blood an hour later. That was the end of it, and they told me I'd hear something Monday if I have to go back for the 3 hour.

Currently I'm almost 28 weeks and measuring 29 which they said was normal. I'm now on appointments at every two weeks. Still gaining weight (which frustrates me so much because I know I'm not doing anything different and I'm already at my limit). When I have to get home my DH and I have to discuss circumcision and a pediatrician/family dr and birth control afterwards.
I guess we better get working on the nursery... :teeth:

So I had a doctors appointment today and everything was looking good. Blood pressure was normal and at almost 34 weeks I have only gained 5 pounds total. Definitely wanna keep that up :cool1:

I go back in two weeks (that's when I'll have my Group Strep B) and then after that it's EVERY week

I'm really in the home stretch here...I can't believe how close it's getting! It's exciting though. I can't wait to meet my little guy :goodvibes

Goodluck with your results...get to work on that nursery!!! ;)

Weight gain is great. You are on the home stretch for sure it will be here very soon. Once I had the Strep B test time flew.

There's a service agreement on our AC and we called and of course they aren't open at night and the only acceptable emergency is for flooding of a toilet in a one bathroom house:confused3:confused3 We call back at 7 am when they open (after 20 minutes on hold) they said they would send someone TOMORROW between 1-5pm making at least 3 days with no air. I said no way! Called someone else and they were here and everything was fixed within 2 hours!!! Then I took a nap lol! What a night!

That's what I am hoping! Everyone says the last few weeks are the hardest and that they really drag by. For me, it feels like it took forever to get to month 8 and now it seems to be cruising along. So I hope it stays that way. I'm sure it'll get to that point anyway, the point where you just feel like it's taking forever for the baby to get here.

Oh, and I finally started looking into pediatricians today. Most hospitals (including the one I'm delivering at) prefer you have your pediatrician picked out by the time you go into labor so I really need to start my search. I found a couple of pediatrics groups in the same medical center where my OB-GYN is so I am going to call them and see about getting Jake in. Did any of you all actually interview your pediatrician? Some of the books I have read give this whole list of prepared questions you're supposed to ask them but that seems a little odd to me. Is that the norm though? I don't know how to go about this so any mom's who already have pediatricians....help please :rotfl:
