My SIL (Emma's godmother) just called an told me she has stocked up on Enfamil for me. :cool1: She has access to freebies which comes in real handy. She did this for DS but at that time it was Similac. Gotta love free formula!!! I have my fingers crossed Emma will be able to use Enfamil without a problem. I know when DS was born the hospital asked me if I preferred him to be on Similac or Enfamil.

Next I need to get out and stock up on diapers!!!

Speaking of Godparents...have you girls already chosen your godparents? We asked my DB & SIL at Christmas, because we actually had them together at the same time (with work schedules not always easy).

Hey everyone! Hope I can join this group! Baby #2 is Due Sept. 29th, but will be here sometime around the 22nd (a scheduled c). We get to find out on May 18th whether or not DS (20 months) will be getting a brother or sister. :goodvibes Just thought I'd drop in and say hello!

Sarah

Congrats & Welcome Sarah! Feel free to jump on in, we can get chatty at times. :goodvibes I'm due in Sept (9/5) too, but will most likely go sometime in August as I'm having twins.

Piecey- cute new pic of Rink!!
Thanks for pointing that out in the photo. I dont think in the beginning ill have a hard time getting a newborn out-- its when they get bigger, and longer, and the mattress has to go down so they cant escape-- lifting them up super high to clear their feet and stuff. LOL. I can just see it non. DH may have to be the Mr.Mom and me go back to work-- lol. Im only kidding-- me, go back to work?

welcome, Sarah!!

I have new baby pictures!!! I just thought I would share with you all... Just cause they are so darn cute!

I dont know if you have a Kroger, but my son weaned from similar to the Kroger gentle formula beautifully. And, sometimes with Ella, I have to supplement breastmilk, and when I ran out of the hospitals SImilac, I tried the Kroger brand, and she actually keeps it down better! (Plus, its about $10 cheaper a can!).... I know some people are all about the name brand formulas, but it really was/is great for my kids....

And, as far as Godparents...I never really did that. We have asked my parents that if anything happend to BOTH of us parents if they'd be the ones to take care of them, and of course they would.... is that the same?

My twins have tummy issues, and the best we have found is Target brand.. We have tried Similac, which is a big time NO GO for them.. Enfamil does okay, and Good Start is okay too. But by far the best is Target. Good thing its the cheapest! We go through the stuff like nobodies business!

Sarah-welcome to our little corner of the DIS and congratulations! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Staley-CUTE photos!! I love the Easter shot and it looks like your older son really enjoys his new duties!!

Well, I did my 3 hr yesterday and am hoping they get the results today. After the test I ended up at the hospital. I had had more spotting that morning but it wasn't following several contractions as it had been before. But I was having a lot of pressure "down below" so my doc wanted me to be checked out just in case. Everything looked good though, never found out why I spotted but they said sometimes they don't know. I am still 1 cm dilated so nothing new there but I am not ready with anything "else". I need to get one of the pregnancy bands that help support the belly though.

I just think he's going to come early (but hopefully not too early).

Sarah

Welcome Sarah and congrats!!!

Well, today is my docs appt again.
He said the baby is about 6.5-7lbs already :scared: And he approximated that the baby will be over 7lbs when he/she is born... ACK!!!!

He also said something like "We'll see you next week and check your cervix then, IF you haven't had your baby yet" :scared1:
I about jumped out of the table... :rotfl:
Well, either way we'll have our baby in the next 1-4 weeks I think.

Speaking of Godparents...have you girls already chosen your godparents? We asked my DB & SIL at Christmas, because we actually had them together at the same time (with work schedules not always easy).

This came up today at work...
We inherited stock when FIL died... we spoke with a financial advisor about what to do with it and he wants us to invest it in mutual funds.
THEN he says we need a beneficiary and started talking about how we'd want to make it custodial so whoever got Lucas if we died would have access to it if they needed it. :scared1:

We'd never thought about it before. Hard thing to think about! :sad1:
We'd briefly, jokingly, said my brother would be the person to go over his brother.. but not now that he's going to Australia!! :confused3

I'm guessing it will be my parents and we just won't tell Tom's family... :rolleyes1

Piecey- cute new pic of Rink!!

Thanks! He's so cute. ;)
I made another trip to KMart today and did a lot better than the first time. DH is laughing at me. :rotfl:

Soooooooooooo adorable...you are very blessed!!! Thanks for sharing.

Good luck with your three hour results! Wow you are dialated... :scared1: . I am 31 weeks...we are getting there my friend.

We aren't Catholic (very few Catholics in my area except for the Hispanic families who have moved in over the last few years). So we don't do godparents. Honestly, I don't know who would get our kids if something happened to us, either. I know we should do something about that legally.

I'm more than a little worried about the flu epidemic in Mexico right now. About 20% of my students are Hispanic, and many go back and forth to Mexico all the time. One just came back last week. I'm worried about what I may be exposed to, along with my kids and the new baby! The news tonight was very frightening, then someone on the pandemic thread said that the numbers being reported in Mexico are much higher than the numbers reported on the news!:scared1:

That is so scary!!:scared1: My DH delivers meds to nursing homes for his 2nd job, he is always worried about exposing DS & I to something.

Now I wish I had never posted on that thread! Dawn says her dh is a dr, and this is his specialty. I posted about being worried due to my Hispanic students traveling back and forth to Mexico. She said her dh suggested I take my maternity leave starting now!!!!!! I really can't do that, since state tests are next week. And because I have no money and no days built up, so I won't get paid if I take off early. We have 4 more weeks of school, and I'm due that last week (will probably be induced the week before though, so my pay will be cut 1 to 2 wks no matter what I do). But even if I take the time off, I can't just pull my kids out of school!!!!!

eeek!! Thats scary, december.

Keep us updated!

Welcome Sarah and Congrats on baby #2:cheer2:

We asked my brother and sister-in-law if they would take in Natalie if something happend to us. Thank goodness they said yes. We still need to meet with the lawyer and get our will together. It is not something we wanted to think about but I am glad it is done.

Staley- Your Easter pictures are the most cute!!!!!

I had my doctors app't today. Everything is great. I am measuring spot on and my weight is great. I have a u/s in 2 1/2 weeks. As of now, my due date is still June 27. It is getting really close.

My parents go to Mexico about 5 times a year-- theyve even considered buying a vacation home there because they go so often. My mom actually had the 'deadly flu' or whatever it is called. When they got back she was out of work for over a week... and went back to work sick (gov job). Fortunately, she had a full recovery- but it was scary and she lost a ton of weight. All her symptoms were right along with this epidemic. They were there for over a week. They wont be able to go back until after my baby is born. I really hope you don't catch it! We are in TN-- and dont have too much to worry about here-- but please be careful!

I woke up with this on my mind again. There is no way for me to avoid the Mexican population here! We live in the city park! The more I think about it, the more scared I'm getting. Besides the 20% Hispanic population in school (from all over-not just Mexico), we have a huge number of Mexican men who come here to work without their families (send money back home-huge chicken plant industry in central MS). Dozens of them come to the park almost daily and play soccer on the fields here-right next to the house. How would I ever know who has been to Mexico in the last 7-14 days!!!!!! I'm really trying to stay calm about this, but when you hear that Mexico has ordered schools and churches shut down, it is really scary!
