:hyper2: The date has been set, flight has been booked, room ressie taken care of so now we just wait. My friend and I are going on our first Mom's Only Vacation. We have 5 teenagers between us and 2 hubbies that have given us permission to enjoy Disney without them. There are so many things we want to do that when on a family vacations we can't. We are arriving Dec. 12th and leaving Dec. 15th. Any suggestions on what to do? It is hard to believe we are really doing this. It was hard making the decision to do this considering we have never went anywhere without our family. Excited, nervous and still in shock that this is really happening. I think I might even get my picture taken with as many characters I see since this is embarrasing for my teenage sons when I want to do this when we are on family vacation to Disney.

Good for you! I'd love to hear a trip report-with DD's 16 and 9, I have never taken a Mom's getaway either, but it is sounding more and more like a great idea!! Have fun!:goodvibes

It sounds like so much fun. I've always wanted to do this. Definitely do the character meet n greets and enjoy getting to be the "kid" for a change.

If I had the chance to go on a girls only trip, I know I would go get pedicures over at the GF spa on the day I went to MK. It would be such a nice midday break. I would also browse the stores in world showcase more (DH hates to shop). I would also do a character meal because no one except for me ever wants to do one.

Enjoy your trip.

Sounds great!
I am fortunate to get a lot of moms weekends, so you will have an amazing time!
Eat at great resturaunts!

Pakey going to the spa is a great idea. I totally forgot about the different things the hotels offer. We are thinking about making ressies to some resturants that our family wouldn't enjoy because of being picky.:surfweb:

Pixiemel I will plan on doing a trip report. I have never done one before so that too will be an adventure. I do love sharing with my coworkers my experiences at Disney so I should share also with my Disboard family.

That sounds wonderful!!! :cloud9: Congratulations! You two are going to have so much fun in WDW! :goodvibes There are so many things you can do, I don't know where to start?! The spa is a great idea. I would also suggest tea at the GF, maybe getting your hair done at the Ivy Trellis in the GF and going out to a very nice dinner... maybe even Victoria & Albert's? If that's too fancy for you, then Citricos or California Grill are also very good. There's always Pleasure Island and the Adventurer's Club - and SHOPPING at Downtown Disney (without kids!!!) You could see the Cirque show LaNouba. There's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party at the Magic Kingdom - you don't want to miss that! :santa:

I look forward to reading your trip report!!!
Take care,
Michelle

I can feel your excitement thru your post... Thats great... I wish you a wonderful magical time... The only thing that comes to mind right now for a wifey/mommy trip is eat lots & ENJOY IT! your on vacation and just have fun!

As we prepare for the trip we have decided to buy some pins on ebay for trading when we get there. We have enjoyed pin trading through our kids. Now we can have the experience too. We are also going to take our time exploring the different countries in Epcot. The kids usually get bored with this. :yay:
