Cute Pin!!

I'm all caught back up now - the Tink pin is very cute!

Thanks everyone! I'll let my in-laws know they did a good job!!

Hi there! I am new to DisBoards and I have learned so much from your PTR!!! Thanks and looking forward to seeing more!

Hi Jess... saw your post on HeatherBelle's report. Welcome! :wave2: I hope I'm helpful! :goodvibes

Like I mentioned earlier, my boys are on break from school this week. My oldest is involved in Youth Week at church so he is kept pretty busy with activities, etc. My middle DS has had a friend over for a sleepover, gone to that same friend's house for a sleepover and is now at ANOTHER friend's house for the day. My youngest DS had a friend over for a sleepover and went to the movies with another friend. Needless to say it's a busy week around here!

Last night, DS14 decided to get sick. How inconvenient of him! He was up vomiting about every hour and a half ALL NIGHT LONG! He likes me to rub his back and be with him, so I didn't sleep either! :sad2: I just LOVE being a MOM!! ( Really I do, but on nights like last night I question my judgment!)

Today, it's a new day! Dan, DS14 is sleeping soundly on the couch....NO FAIR! I decided to do a Disney project with Jonah, DS8. That always makes us smile! :) :)

We had a great time collecting pressed pennies in the parks last year so we are going to do so again this trip. Jonah and I made cute little containers to collect pennies and quarters in until we go...now we can empty our pocket change into them and watch them add up over time!

I used small tin cans that I washed out and I also used packing tape to seal the top edge in case there were any sharp spots. We then covered them with colored scrapbooking paper and Jonah decorated them with Disney stickers. It was a fun little project! Here are the results...

In my next update I hope to talk about one of my favorite subjects.....SNACKS!!

Sorry to hear about Dan! I hope he feels better soon. The project is too cute. Really good idea and incentive to make them want to save their change.

I love the change containers!! How fun! We collect our change and turn it in at the bank - then the kids split the money for souvenirs, etc.

It's been hard to add to the jar without them knowing about the trip though... :rolleyes1

Cute change collectors! I have one, but it's not nearly as cute. I may have to spice mine up!

 this called for a banana I'm caught up...so what drama unfolded while I read today....well our oven is broken, uh it was leftovers of what we had last night and chicken nuggets. DH was online on his laptop trying to figure out what was wrong or what he could do, even trying to deal w/ replacing a part but we hit a deadend.:headache: now he did finally find a place a few sub's away to try...but now I'm looking at probably a week w/ no oven

Ok back to your PTR! because I am so glad I'm caught up:goodvibes you are like my twin....

back to page 5:

MK musts... love all the thoughts there.and I hear you on the Tiki Birds, now DH & I actaully liked the former campy version before Iago and Zazu came in and we've purposly have skipped it since, but now my DS Michael who has Aspergers has decided he wants that as part of his TOP 5 for the trip...and once an Aspergian kid get's something in his head it's got to happen...oh well, DH is proabably thinking I owe him anyways from making him :scared1: & almost  on Splash Mt. (he hates any kinda of coaster)

Your BOX I will get to more of my box's contents soon in my PTR, but now that the kids know I need to add in our "Disney" things like your's and I like your in park coin holders :thumbsup2

Epcot: we love it too...now I was gonna say did you hear about the Kim Possible World Adventure...and then I read you did after viewing the DVD...when you first come on the UnofficialGuide site look down to the podcasts, becuase there is a nice link to a story about it. If you can't find it, pm me I'll copy the link short cut for you. Also the American Pav show & Ellen's...show and ride (respectively) are very nice, if you like history dinosaurs, etc (respectively again) but they are LONG!!! don't plan both on the same day... plan at least 45 minutes for both.

1984 I was 10 in 84...I had (well still have but he resides stapled to the tool shelf in the garage w/ ET) GIZMO...they had gotten wrecked in a flood we had shortly after we moved into our current house, so now they guard the tools! I use to put big shades on GIZ and zoom him around the house in my pink Barbie corvette (when I was 10!)

Disney Target stuff I got a bunch of that stuff too for my kids

Pin trading there are a ton of great threads on the boards here all abou that stuff. just do a search.

Revised Itinerary I really like it!

church hey I am my church's Nursery Superintendent, I will be stepping down this late Spring after 8 yrs...

airfare & bonus so glad that all worked out for you!

Boys notes::goodvibes have you posted from your oldest DS yet?

shoutouts :thankyou: for them that was so sweet to mention my to do list and binder decor.

countdown chain I love the trivia idea. very cool

Crocs I just love crocs too. I'm living in my winter ones now and can't wait to break out my Croc sandles for the trip. Do you have any Disney jibbitz?

Coin jars: that is such a clever idea and great way to save...have to think of that for the next trip when we have more time to save up....

Looking forward to more

Scrappie

GREAT UPDATE!!

I copied down some of this stuff - I know I've seen mousescrapper's stuff, but your post came at just the right time. Now that we're under three months I need to get moving on some of my "projects" - kids autograph books, special planning books for the kids, getting my daily plans and ADRs onto index cards, etc. I'm in need of a list - and the one you posted fits the bill! Thanks!! (Thanks mousescrapper too!!)

oh and your welcome too my good friend!

Love the change container idea...although we don't have any interest in doing pressed pennies, I think it might be a good idea to make a similiar container for the family to start putting spare change in, so we can have a few extra dollars for our trip (every little bit counts!) so thanks for the idea!!

Great project! I'm sure the change will add up quickly in those!

Yeah...that whole "surprise" thing would make that difficult! It will be so worth it though...can't wait to hear how it goes!

Our change for the year pays for our gas for the car to get to WDW:cool1:

I love your change cans. We do the pressed pennies too.

Awesome about the change paying for your gas! WOOO-HOOO!!:woohoo:

Cute change collectors! I have one, but it's not nearly as cute. I may have to spice mine up!

Thanks for the compliment...it was all Jonah's decorating expertise!!:goodvibes

Drama....what would life be without it??

Ok back to your PTR! because I am so glad I'm caught up:goodvibes you are like my twin....

Hmm....separated at birth perhaps? That would be ok with me cause I'd be younger! LOL!

I guess we will both be suffering through the Tiki room this trip! The things we do for our families! :cutie:

Really looking forward to the Kim Possible Adventure! I am going to go look up that link at the UG site when I'm done posting here. Thanks for the tip!

Ahh....stepping down...that sounds so nice!

:thumbsup2 Big relief!

Boys notes::goodvibes have you posted from your oldest DS yet?
Nope...he's totally dragging his feet. I'll pin him down soon!

Crocs I just love crocs too. I'm living in my winter ones now and can't wait to break out my Croc sandles for the trip. Do you have any Disney jibbitz?

I do! I have Tink, Minnie, Stitch, the Castle, Jiminy Cricket, and Snow White. Actually...now that I think about it I lost Tink. Gonna have to buy another one!!

Every little bit helps! :thumbsup2

Very cute project! :thumbsup2

Great project! I'm sure the change will add up quickly in those!

Glad you all like my little attempt at being "crafty"...I love to scrapbook, but the crafts are not my strength!!

hey are you at the 60 day mark today?

 :dancer:

I also thought of you today when I found a baggie of pennies under my bed...all going to the pressers;)

well off to my brothers to cook up some pizzas for dinner...and then somehow deliever them back home...in my old life as a teenager I worked at Pizza Hut:rolleyes1

Hope to get some more Diz planning done tonight or at least I'll be playing Princess Wii w/ the girls.

Looking forward to the next crafty adventure!

I had to tell you this...

Last night we went out to dinner and I ran into a friend who I hadn't seen in a while. I accidentally called her Missy instead of Misty - and it's all your fault!! :rotfl:

I had a former life as a teenager too....but in mine I was a waitress! LOL! Hope you enjoyed the pizzas!

I think a revamp of the autograph books is next on the "crafty" list...or maybe the countdown chain....stay tuned! :rolleyes1
