I have been looking forward to this day of our "10 Days till Disney" celebration. My family LOVES the World Showcase! The love affair started on my honeymoon when my DH ran around getting his passport stamped in every country and it continued when we introduced our boys to the wonder of the WS in 2007. Morocco is my personal favorite pavilion in the whole WS so I decided to have a Morocco night as one of our celebrations in our 10 day countdown.
First, I looked up recipes online for baklava (YUM) and a Moroccan chicken that I thought would be fun to make and my family would enjoy. I used the following two recipes.
Tangy Moroccan Chicken
Baklava
Overall, my boys are fairly adventurous eaters. I cook a variety of foods and love to try new recipes and they pretty much eat what I put in front of them. At least they try...it's not always their favorite, but they do tend to try a lot of new things on a regular basis. This chicken recipe was no exception. I told them that they just needed to be willing to try it and they all did!
Here's the scorecard: Dan liked both the couscous and the chicken.

Isaiah tried both and ate most of the chicken but did not enjoy the couscous.

Jonah did not like either. (insert two thumbs down smiley) Jeff LOVED both.

I really enjoyed the chicken, but am not a fan of couscous. (Never have been, but I tried it again anyway!)
EVERYONE LOVED THE BAKLAVA! It wasn't nearly as hard to make as I believed it to be and I won't hesitate to make it again.

Here are a few pics of our Moroccan dinner.

Next we moved on to our Moroccan mosaic projects. I went online and found pictures of beautiful Moroccan tile mosaics and printed them out as examples. Then we made our own versions with squares of paper and glue. This was SO much fun and even my DS14 enjoyed it! Here are pictures of our craft time and finished masterpieces!
