Mommy...Why does Crush talk like you? Final thoughts and summary 10/15

What a wonderful Hubbie, do you have any photos of the bottle? Is it pretty?

Yes, I'm nosey...........how much $ are we talking for the perfume?

I love the perfume shop in France! Givenchy is my favorite brand.........I always come out with a headache from smelling everything!

What a wonderful hubby you have!!! I have to say your nights alone without the kids are making me more and more excited for our kid free trip in September, it just sounds so peaceful and relaxing.

Angela I just had to post that I'm watching a TV show called the F word with Gordan Ramsey and he's just killed a wild boar and skinned it etc and they were talking about Mountain Oysters, it so reminded me of your preTR :rotfl:

Yay for the perfect perfume!!! :woohoo:

Booo for the annoying folks next to u at dinner and their ... jeez comments ... sheesh :headache:

Whoo hoo.... Can't wait to hear what's next :)

Aww what a nice hubby. He (DH) never buys me anything. I think I will have to kick him when he gets home. I am glad you had a nice meal, sorry about the annoying people, they are everywhere these days. Its like no one grew up with manners anymore! Anyway I am off to make a list for He of things he can buy me so I dont have to be jealous! ;)

-Becca-

Dude, does your DH do sweet things for you?? Honestly, the things HHBG does for me, like takign the kids off so I can sleep, and washing nasty dishes, and sticking up for me to my parents are so much better to me than him buying me things....not that I woud turn down purchases. LOL.

It's good though that they are willing to "let go" for a little while::yes::

Wait....where was I......? Oh, yeah.

I find that going hotel to hotel that cab is the best way to go::yes::

You are a better woman than me...I would have leaned in more:rolleyes1

popcorn::

I understood that they wanted to watch the fireworks. I would have been looking over their shoulders if our positions had been reversed....of course, I woul dhave waited until AFTER they were out of ear shot to gripe about them....:rolleyes1

Great update, Angela.

About dropping off the kids, I dropped my DD7 off at camp yesterday afternoon for two nights. She barely stopped talking with her friends long enough to give me a hug goodbye! I know she's going to have a great time, but I can't help being a bit sad that she won't miss me. :sad1: But then again, I'd be a little upset if I had to go down and pick her up early because she was too homesick! :worried: So, I guess it's a good thing that they aren't upset. It means that they're secure in the fact that you'll always come back for them (even when you really don't want to!). :rotfl:

Actually, my kids have thrown fits when we picked them up, too. :worried:

perfume you say :stir: ehh, might be a good present for DW when we go back this christmas.

It's awesome. :)

What a wonderful Hubbie, do you have any photos of the bottle? Is it pretty?

It's actually not that pretty. I'll take a pic for you tomorrow, Jo. :) By the way, was your hubby at the US open this past weekend??

I love givenchy. One of my favorite perfumes from my collection is Ange ou Demon. That's my night time perfume. (the Plus Que Jamais is my go-to daytime perfume). I also have a pair of Givenchy shoes I adore. :hyper:

Uh....I believe the perfume was about $300.....expensive but not horrible for perfume....I have a horrible perfume habit. At least 10 different ones.

What a wonderful hubby you have!!! I have to say your nights alone without the kids are making me more and more excited for our kid free trip in September, it just sounds so peaceful and relaxing.

It was nice. It's nice to spend leisure time in the parks as well as crazy time.

Well, the rattlesnake was better.

I am reading Gordon Ramsey's book right now.

Yay for the perfect perfume!!! :woohoo:

Coming soon: BBB

What a sweet hubby!!! I like Shalimar.

Actually, Shalimar is one of my least favorite Guerlain scents, but that's because it really doesn't work with my body chemistry. I am asking for Samsara for Christmas from my sister. :bitelip:

By the way, was your hubby at the US open this past weekend??
He wishes :rotfl2: No he mainly teaches, even though he is a good player and could try to get on tour it costs so much money and you have to be travelling so much, he does want to try for the senior tour when he's old enough as the kids will be all grown up by then!

Angela!!! Hi!!! :yay:

Hi Ed!

Ohhh cant wait!! I didnt know you booked that for Brianna!! Annie had me put on nail polish from there for her this morning!!

This post cracks me up. You posted piocs of Annie on my PTR after I posted that I had an appointment and was worried about her hair. :rotfl2:

Still a very cool job. :thumbsup2 Good for him being there for the kids (and you!)

Chapter 16: The WORST cab driver ever, a ride to the castle and HAIR OF STEEL.

Wednesday morning, we woke up REALLY EARLY in the morning, as we had an 8am appointment at the BBB. After hauling the kids out of bed, getting dressed, brushing Brianna’s hair, and packing our backpack (NOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo), we were ready to go.

Now, I am NOT a morning person, which is my only excuse for what happened next. HHBG announced that, since we wanted to be at the park so early, we should take a cab to the Magic Kingdom. Never mind the fact that the Magic Kingdom has no area right out front of it to get dropped off.

So, we hailed a cab, and told the guy we were going to the Magic Kingdom. Ten minutes into what should be a 2 minute drive, this guy announces that he can’t take us to the Magic Kingdom, since there is no pull up, so he will take us to the TTC. I told him, no, we should go to the Contemporary hotel, and we’ll just walk over, but he didn’t listen,. Not only did he not listen to me telling him to take us to the contemporary, he then proceeded to turn up his radio, curse at us in French under his breath the entire drive, and took us to the TTC to wait until they opened up the monorails.

A little phone call to the cab company later to report his rudeness and the fact that it took nearly 30 minutes to drive from the Wilderness Lodge to the TTC, and one ticked off Mommy later, we went to wait for the monorail. The first monorail from TTC runs at about 8am. We would have been better off jsut waiting for the boat, but whatever.

We caught the first monorail and got to the front of the park at 8:03. Of course, we had an appointment at the BBB at 8:05, and had been told to get there 15 minutes early. I was freaking out about being late, and HHBG was telling me to get over myself. We got into the park, and there was another family who were late for their ADRs at the castle.

This is where we got some magic. The CM who drives the “horseless carriage” up and down Main Street was there, and heard us laughing that we were going to have to have a race to the castle. He called us over and offered us all a ride. He promised us, he’d floor it, so we could get there. Well, we all piled in, and he took off....at all of 10 miles an hour, maybe.

We were all acting like we were going 100. Yelling “hold on to the kids!!” “Woah!!” and “Slow down, do you want to kill us!!” The kids were looking at the grown ups like we had grown a second head, but it definitely lightened the mood.

We got to the castle quickly, thanked the CM profusely, and ran in to our appointment. I signed Brianna in, and they told us to go pick a dress. Now, for WEEKS, Brianna had been insisting that she wanted Ariel’s wedding dress, so I walked over to show it to her....as we were over there, she decided she really needed to see ALL of the outfits before making her decision.

We looked at all of the outfits while HHBG and Spencer sat around and waited.

Finally, Brianna decided on the most revealing outfit possible....Ariel’s Mermaid outfit. She also chose some flip flops for her shoes. I tried to get her to choose different shoes, but she was adamant. She had her sneakers on while we were choosing, so I just figured she’d change shoes quickly. Ha. Silly Mommy.

We told the FGIT at the podium Brianna’s choices for dress, shoes, wand, and crown, and went back to sit down and wait.

Pretty quickly someone came and showed Brianna to her dressing room. When we got inside, this is what was waiting for us:

I have never seen her change so quickly in my life.

At this point, Brianna was happy and ready to go. I had to remind her that we still had hair and make-up to go. She was very excited about the make-up, not so much about the hair. So, we went to sit down and wait some more for her FGIT.

Relatively quickly, KT, our FGIT came and got Brianna. Brianna chose the Fairy Princess hair style and announced that she wanted her bangs IN the bun. KT proceeded to start gelling and spraying Brianna’s hair up and putting it into the world’s tiniest bun. Some in progress pics:

While this was happening, HHBG had pulled out the ipods for him and Spencer to watch some shows. About 10 minutes in, a little girl came over and was looking over Spencer’s shoulder at his show (I forget what he was watching). Spencer pulled his headphone out of one ear, and gave it to her to listen with him. When that didn’t work, he turned off the ipod, and he and this little girl chatted and played while she waited for her appointment and he waited for Brianna. It was very cute, according to HHBG. I came over a few times, but I forgot to take pics of them. :(

When I got back, there was another FGIT there helping Brianna choose a nail color and her make-up. Brianna has gotten Manicures with me before, so she knew to sit very still, and she was an angel when they were putting her make-up on. Some MORE pics. (And to think, I haven’t even uploaded the photo pass pics)

Soon it was time for the pixie dust and the great reveal (which I screwed up the pic for)

Brianna the princess:

Once Brianna was done, we went to go show Spencer and Daddy. They gave the little diva her proper attention, and I went to pay. Brianna came up quickly with a purse, and asked if she could PLEASE get it. I obviously decided I hadn’t already paid enough money, and I got her the little purse, and a lip gloss to go in it. We put her make up and nail polish in the purse, and she walked off carrying her purse and wand. It was really cute, and HHBG had the camera.

We walked out of the BBB and looked at the kids. Spencer asked if it was time to go on some rides, but we said NO, we had a surprise for them......

Coming soon: SURPRISE!!

Stupid cabdriver! :headache:

I always stress when we have to be somewhere early, early!

Brianna is a vision in all her BBB glory!!!

How soon before she wanted her hair down? We did BBB last year with Chelsea, and she lasted until 9:00 (her appointment was at 2:30) before she wanted it back to normal.

Can't wait to find out the surprise!!!

Oh the BBB pictures are so cute! I am having serious regrets about not taking Cat. Oh well. Maybe next trip!

-Becca-

Love the BBB pictures.

she looks adorable, and i am sure that i will be suckered into doing that if i have a daughter when we go to the world, even though DW and i say that we will never do it..i am a softy.

Cant wait to hear about the surprise.

Ok, the bit in the carriage had me cracking up! Way to de-stress!

B looks very happy with her transformation...

Oh my goodness... what a little cutie!!! Brianna looks absolutely adorable.

ETA: What an amazing little guy that Spencer is; giving up watching his iPod so that another child wouldn't be bored. Truly fabulous, you must be so proud of him!
