"Mommy, When Will It Be Our Turn?!"--May 16-23, 2009 PTR

Hi and welcome Jennifer!! :wave2: Thank you!! How old is your DD? I see you live in Atlanta, GA--do you know where Toccoa is? I grew up there!! It's about an hour northeast of Atlanta. Glad you're joining in!! princess:

I have 2 toddlers, just like you. Ben is 3 1/2 and Emmie is 22 months. We live on the west side of Atlanta, in Cobb County, but I am familiar with Toccoa from driving through it on 85. Ironically, you are living in my home state now - I was born and raised in East Tennessee.

I just ordered Emmie a custom Tinkerbell costume, inspired to do so by finally seeing your customs! I just found some kelly green Chuck Taylors to go with it!

Here's wishing you all a wonderful trip! :wizard:

Awww!! Emmie is 3 months older than Claire! Really?! Yeah--East Tennessee is a much prettier area than West Tennessee.

The custom sounds cute!! Can't wait to see pics when you receive it! :cutie:

Hey. I just posted this on your FB, but thought I'd put it here, too. We will be at MK the same days as y'all--18th, part of 21st, and 22nd. Hubby made some last minute changes, so it looks like we may run into y'all after all!! Our last two trips, we NEVER would have been making our minds up on some of this stuff at the last minute. By this point, I had my whole laminated booklet printed and assembled and no changes were allowed. ;) But we're doing a different kind of trip this time. Anyway, just wanted to let you know those dates. We'll be on the lookout! :)

Oh, and I checked your ADRs against ours. We're eating at some of the same places but not on the same days.

Today was Ally & Claire's last day of school. It was quite an emotional day for me since Ally is graduating from preschool and will start K in August. I'm not sure where the time has gone?!:confused3 I took my camera up to school to get some pics of the girls.

While the girls were at school I was at home packing for our trip. I organized all of their outfits into jumbo ziplock bags for each day labeling the day and the park we'd be visiting.

So all I have left to do tomorrow is pack my things! 1 day!!! Whoo hoo!! :woohoo:

Really?! YAY!!! Surely we'll run into each other!! I would LOVE to be able to meet you!! You're too funny!! You sound just like me!!

I'm super impressed with your packing! But here's my question...are you bringing extra outfits in case they get dirty or have an accident and need to change? That's part of my problem with packing. I think I need to be prepared for so many obscure circumstances that I bring so much stuff! Also, I can be indecisive about what they're wearing some days, so I feel the need to bring some choices. LOL!

Oh, and now that I know what your kids are wearing on your MK days, you'll be easier to spot! We're doing BBB on the 22nd. Macy will be Belle. Bailey will probably be Cinderella, but I'm not sure yet. We're eating at 1900 that night so I'd like her to wear her Cindy dress, but we'll see what kind of princess mood she's in that day!

Thanks Julie!! Yes, I'm bringing a few extra outfits just in case (didn't take pics of that--sorry). Plus I'm sure we'll buy some things in the parks. I am VERY indecisive so that's why I went ahead and decided which days they'd wear which outfits. I knew that if I didn't I'd wake up in the morning and waste a TON of time deciding what they'd be wearing that day. So now I can just grab the bag for the day or Brent can too without having to wonder what to dress them in!! :thumbsup2

Hee hee!! Great thinking!! We are doing the BBB on the 18th. The girls will wear their Cinderella dresses to the BBB and then to CRT. After that Ally will change into her Cinderella top/skirt and Claire into her princess top/skirt.

I hear ya about wasting time deciding. If had bought all those customs though, it'd be a little easier for me because I would have probably planned that into my purchase. But Macy doesn't really like to "dress up" as she calls it at Disney, so I let her do the t-shirt thing. And Bailey literally only wants to wear princess dresses all day everyday. Just recently though I was telling dh that I regreted not buying them at least one cute custom thing. But oh well. He doesn't get my love for those. He thinks they're expensive and "not practical" for outside. He'd have a bigger cow than me if they stained them. He likes their clothes to stay neat and clean! But I figured you had packed some extras! What mom wouldn't? But I'll be sending you some pixie dust that they stay spotless all the time so you don't have to change them out of their adorable outfits!!

Oh, and about Ally's backpack...I assume that is stuff for the plane? If she hasn't seen it yet, here's an idea. Each time we fly I pack some surprises in Macy's backpack (she chooses the notebook and markers she wants and this time which AG magazines and books to bring) and she can't open it until we get up in the air. I even make her wait through the take-off. We have to be at cruising altitude! Then she's so excited to open it up and see the new stuff. It holds her attention throughout the flight. Now Bailey on the other hand is a whole nother story. I spend most of my time telling her to be quieter and whisper. I'm always saying, "Shhhh. Airplanes are like church. You have to be quiet. Shhhh." It's a broken record. LOL

This time one of her surprises is a package of pipe cleaners and a package of beads that can be strung on them. I figured she could make bracelets, necklaces, or other stuff. She likes crafty things. We also have some of those travel Aquadoodle mats and color pages. They're not new this time, but we pretty much only use them when we fly so hopefully they will still be exciting this time.

Well, at least you know what they prefer--right?! Since this is our first trip I'm not sure how they'll do with wearing the princess gowns--that's why I'm packing the other outfits for those days. Thankfully those customs were VERY inexpensive--unfortunately I had to deal with the stress of whether or not they'd get here in time. Not sure it would be worth it again if you know what I mean! ;) I used to be really anal about my girls getting things on their clothes but I've relaxed some. Things can be washed and Ally has become neater as she's grown older. Claire just wears a bib everytime she eats. Thanks for the pixie dust!! pixiedust:
