"Mommy, When Will It Be Our Turn?!"--May 16-23, 2009 PTR

I really need to preorder my Photopass cd but I can't decide on whether or not to get the photobook. I really wanted something that was specifically Disney but was wondering if it was worth it for the price--anyone have opinions? I need to make a decision soon!

I've always just gotten the Photopass. The reason is that I spend HOURS literally just editing those photos. Why so much time? 1.) We have lots and lots of pics taken, 2.) the Photopass website is SO SLOW, and 3.) I feel compelled to do almost everything imaginable to each picture. Because of all the work that is, I just don't have the desire or energy to do a book, too. The books are neat, don't get me wrong. (I do think they could probably use a few more layouts to choose from, though.) And the pre-order combo is a good deal. I just am so sick of Photopass and pictures by the time I'm done.

Have you thought about just blogging it in detail and then using that company you told me about that prints your blog into a book? Could they just pull out a portion of your blog and do that?

If you pay for it now, and decide after your trip not to do the book, can you get a refund? I know you can if you just pre-purchase the CD. But I don't know if you can get a refund on just part of the combo deal.

Good luck deciding!

One more Photopass thing...and please just ignore me if you already know this. Any photo packages that you purchase or that are included with any of your meals will have a special code on the largest photo. (It starts with EVNT.) That code is a Photopass number that can be entered on your account. All of the pics taken from those packages will then be included on your Photopass...even candids if you can get the photographer to take some. At CRT in November, I asked the guy to take some candids while the girls were talking with Cinderella. He did and even those were on my photopass when I entered the code from the posed picture!

The customs are to die for.....I just love them, I can't wait to see pictures of the girls at WDW w/ them on. Oh you must get a pic of the girls in their Minnie sets w/ Minnie herself!

here is my 2 cents!

1) YES pre-order the cd....it is worth it IMHO. I did for our past trip and love having access to ALL my pictures, plus the enhancements vs forking out $15 a download or for a set of pictures.

2) don't upload your PP #'s till you are actually ready to sit and go thru them all and do all the enhancements cause you only have a month to do it and you don't want to not have time.

3) add as many enhancements to each pic you want, w/ pre-ordering the cd it is no extra cost.

4) the other stuff....last yr I made the Photo movie (DH bought it for me for my b-day and as much time as it took adding in my personal pic's, the PP ones and more. It was so worth it, I love having it as a great additional souvenir. Plus the kids love looking at it and especially my youngest :goodvibes

this time when I pre-ordered the CD and did pre-order the book. I finished it last week and am awaiting it's arrival. I LOVE to scrap! and did a HUGE scrap album from 08 trip and figured I wouldn't do a huge one again for this yr and thought this would be fun! On the computer it looks awesome and I can't wait to get it.

too bad it won't arrive before you go (well maybe? :confused3)

I wanted to buy both the book and the prepaid photopass cd. I think it is a good idea.

Awww... Great preschool pictures! I just got the papers yesterday to sign my DD up for preschool for the fall! :sad1: I love the bows you made! They are too cute! I also have to comment on the "she won't remember" phrase... No, she won't remember Disney World, but we're still going. She won't remember her first birthday party or her first Christmas either, but we still celebrated! I have those memories and pictures now to last me forever! I can't stand hearing people tell me it is a waste to take DD at such a young age:headache:--as you said we can go back when they're older! Ok rant done! :lmao: Only a few more days!!! :woohoo:

Yes, I thought about that but I really wanted something that looked like Disney--KWIM?! :cutie: I have no idea if they will give you your $$ back if you decide against the book. :confused3

Oh cool!! So you do that while we're there or when we get home?

Thank you for all of the GREAT info!! WOW!! Yes, I know I'm definitely ordering the cd just trying to decide on the photobook. Let me know if yours comes today or tomorrow. I used to scrapbook but now I blog and turn that into photobooks. It helps me keep up with everything better and journal while it's on my mind. ;)

Hee hee!! Vent away!! I totally understand! And you are spot on about birthday, Christmas, etc. I couldn't have said it better!! :thumbsup2

Last night I finally placed my Garden Grocer order!! I ordered milk for Claire, bottled water, diapers for Claire, and several boxes of Pop Tarts (quick breakfast) and Goldfish (snacks to put in ziplock bags). They only had 2 times left for delivery so I chose the latest they had (9:00-11:00 a.m.). Our flight lands at 11:38 a.m. I've read they will hold them at the Poly until we arrive anyway, right?! Glad to have that marked off the list!! :woohoo:

Great preschool pictures! They really grow up fast, don't they?

Looks like you are getting everything all set! Only 3 days to go! :woohoo::woohoo:

I can't figure out how to preorder the photpass CD. Where do you see the discount? Do you just go to disneyphotopass.com? I want to order it but only if I get a discount. The special offers doesn't list this as an option. Thanks for your help. Sorry to hijack!

I always go to www.stitchkingdom.com to get the link. That website is run by a fellow DISser, and he has IMO the best, most complete Photopass information.

We stayed at All Star Music last year, and they held our groceries for us... even put the cold stuff away! I just went to get the groceries once we got settled in the room. If they do at at ASMusic, I bet they'll do it at the Poly! :thumbsup2

Agreed. Also, from my experience at Pop, you can call baggage services and have the stuff delivered to your room. Of course, a tip is in order, but you shouldn't have to even go get it if you don't want to.
