"Mommy, When Will It Be Our Turn?!"--May 16-23, 2009 PTR

Just joining you on your PTR! seen your bows on Leanne's PTR; soooo cute! I LOVE the pillowcase dresses and the custom outfits. I LOVE little girl clothes.
Sounds like you have it all together:thumbsup2. My last trip in 2001 I had all the books, too! This go round I only picked up the one for KIDS! Oh! I, too, hit the crocs.com site bought DS2 two pair (the mickey athens and don't know what you call the regular mickey crocs red/black, and me the disney athens).

:cool1:Four days to go!!! ya'll have to be sooo excited...
Have a great trip!!! :flower3:

people looked at us funny when we took Abby at 2 and a half. Everyone said she wouldn't remember it. First, who cares. We have great memories and pictures. Second, she totally remembers it. She remembers the water slide at POFQ. She remembers the boat. She remembers the Haunted Mansion and she remembers "goofy roller coaster." She also remembers really random stuff like recently we saw a scuba diver at an aquarium and she said it was just like Disney World (the Seas) and when she got a Snow White Coloring book she pointed to Dopey and said she met him at Disney World. He was the only Dwarf we met. She was talking to her friends at the playground recently and corrected her friend by saying that Mary Poppins can talk but Tigger cannot. That is pretty good for a 2 and a half year old to remember 2 and a half years later!

Thank you! I need to share your story with DH. He has been complaining since I started planning this trip that DS2.5 will not enjoy or remember this trip. I think he will; my other two children remember trips we took them on when they were young!

Just had to chime in on that too....

Even if your little one doesn't remember much, it's also a trip for YOU, the parent, to make those memories!! My little boy's first trip was when he was 14 months old!! I treasure that special ride on Dumbo with him. I can remember his face on the Winnie the Pooh ride and IASW!!! It's as much for the memories you create for yourself OF your child at that age.... and in such a special place!

Yes, and as a kid I went a handful of times. And truthfully a lot of those trips run together. I remember being tricked into going on to Space Mountain by my dad but I couldn't remember which trip that was. I can remember eating at LTT but I don't know if I was 9 or 13. So this is all a chance to start building those memories. One of the greatest things is the nostalgia of stuff you didn't even remember you remember. My DH and I walk around telling stories from our youth and this trip we will probably reminisce about our last trip as well. "Remember, when you won Abby the dinosaur?" "Remember how she shouted 'Dory' and everyone laughed when Ellen Degeneres started talking in Ellen's Energy Adventure?" That is what it is all about. Those are great memories even if they aren't hers.

I'm super late to the game, but I hopped over from Kristen's (princess&her4princes) PTR. Your family is so adorable!

Ok. I'm a fast reader, so I'm all caught up (I just read your pink posts). I LOVE your bows! I'm beginning to think it must be a Southern kind of thing because no one wears bows up here in NY. What a shame! They are too cute for words! Anyways....you have amazing ADR's. What lucky little girls you have! We enjoyed the Princess breakfast at Akershus this past January. We saw Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Snow White and Mary Poppins. I love your custom outfits for the girls as well. They're going to look so cute! I'm so jealous that you leave this Saturday, but my birthday trip is only 43 days away. I'm sure time will fly by!

My girls love the Color Wonder Disney sets. We took them on the plane for our last WDW trip and plan to do it again. They have so much fun coloring them.:goodvibes

I know! People keep asking me why we aren't waiting until Claire is older. I'm like--well, we can take her back when she gets older! I don't get it. There's no rule that you can only go to WDW once?! :confused3

I totally agree, Sara!! I can't WAIT to see how Claire interacts with the characters. She absolutely LOVED the Easter Bunny so I'm pretty sure she'll love all the Disney characters as well.

Unfortunately I've only been twice! Once when I was three (I remember the Haunted Mansion ride--loved it! I remember the ghost sitting next to me in my car) and once in 1994 for a high school choir competition.

Welcome Meghan!! :wave2: Thank you!! Yes, bows (especially BIG bows) seem to be more a southern thing (I have family in NJ). I know! I just can't believe that we leave on Saturday!! It hasn't sunk in yet! Your 43 days will FLY by!!princess:

My girls love them, too!! And I LOVE them because they are mess-free!!

LOL!! what we remember... my first trip was at 7... I remember eating in the castle (ate a salad probably w/a French dressing but it was red and my Dad told me it was ketchup) and the Haunted Mansion the ghost at the end--freaked out)...
Ashton loved the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus; he says he can't wait to shake Mickey's hand and meet Donald Duck (hope so)...my concern is he always loved the carosel (spell) and the last two times he rode he wanted me to hold him when it started

Today at preschool Ally had her end of the year party/cookout! It was outside and they had those big jumpy blow-up things for the kids to play in. The kids played and then they cooked out hotdogs. Here are some pics from today!

Ally & her friends (they've been in class together since they were one!)

I just can't believe that Ally's last day of preschool is Thursday!!! My baby will then be a Kindergartener!! :sad1: Where has the time gone? :confused3

On a happier note, I made Ally some bows to match some of her Disney customs!!

In a few hours we'll be down to THREE days!! Whoo hoo!!!!

I know--crazy--huh?! I barely remember anything from my high school trip. I guess I was too busy hanging out with friends to soak it all in! Yeah--Ally went through some stages where she was afraid of the carousel--it was so strange. Claire has always loved riding the carousel. (but Claire is my little dare devil)

Ah cute end of preschool pics! I can't believe they will go to kindergarten next year! Avery's "graduation" is the week after we return. Very cute bows!!

Thanks Mary!! Unfortunately they don't do a graduation or end of the year program at Ally's preschool--ridiculous--I know!! Not sure why?! :confused3
