I am subscribing. It looks like you are off to a great start! Can't wait to read more.

After a slight delay (I went the wrong way) we headed over to the Land Pavilion.

disney1034.jpg

Once we entered the Land Pavilion, we made our way to the Soarin’ fastpass kiosks. We got fastpasses with a return time of 5:25 PM. As we were walking away from Soarin’ we bumped into Alicia (peterpanfan22)! An actual live DIS friend! We chatted for a minute, made tentative plans to meet around Norway for Illuminations, and then parted ways!

Next we made our way over to the Sunshine Seasons cafeteria. Our tummies were rumbling while we looked over the menu. Finally we decided on a Build-your-own turkey sub for Jilly (with applesauce, grapes, and chocolate milk), a seared tuna on mixed greens salad for Jed (with strawberry shortcake and a soda), and a smoked ham and salami sandwich for me (with potato salad, fruit tart and bottled water). We pushed through the crowd (I was worried that this was a bad indication for the rest of the week) and finally found a table. I remembered to take pictures!

Jed thought his salad was just okay, but I loved my sandwich and potato salad! Both of our desserts were awesome, and Jilly ate most of her sandwich, which is quite an accomplishment! She also ate the applesauce, but we saved the grapes for later.

While we were eating lunch I texted Connie (longing2BatDisney) to see if she wanted to meet up for Illuminations, but she and her family had decided to go to the Magic Kingdom for Spectromagic and Wishes instead.

After lunch we rode Living with the Land with a short 5-minute wait. I’m pretty sure this was Jilly’s favorite ride of the entire trip. We all enjoyed seeing the amazing gardening technology and the giant shrimp! Jed was pretty sure that was his first time riding it, so I guess we hadn’t done it on our honeymoon.

Does this count as a "hidden Mickey?":

We then went upstairs and watched the Circle of Life, which was really beautiful. We then went BACK downstairs to visit the restroom, and then BACK upstairs to leave the Land Pavilion.

Next we headed to the Imagination Pavilion! I was absolutely gushing telling Jilly all about my buddy Figment! She was a little scared during the ride. Luckily I had already warned her about the train noises, so she was only mildly freaked out. I snapped a picture of her and Jed on the way into the Image Works lab. It reminds me of a picture of me with my dad in the old rainbow tunnel inside the Imagination Pavilion during my first visit!

disney1060.jpg

Jilly liked playing with the light and sound “experiments” and we played around making a silly picture of the three of us. Unfortunately Jilly was trying desperately to “help” and she deleted it before I could email it to anyone. Since there were people waiting in line I decided to give up and head to the gift store. Jilly really wanted a Figment doll (smart girl) but she was acting up so Jed told her if she was good we would come back later.

Around 3:15 we walked outside of the Pavilion and saw another childhood favorite of mine, the jumping water fountains! Jilly had an amazing time chasing the water and we stayed there for a while.

After a showing of Honey I Shrunk the Audience let out and it started getting crowded, we decided to move on.

Continued next post...

Next we went to the Seas Pavilion where we were excited to see Nemo!

disney1119.jpg

disney1120.jpg

We rode the Seas with Nemo & Friends with another 5-minute wait. After that we headed straight to Turtle Talk with Crush. We checked out the jellyfish and other sea creatures and in less than ten minutes we were entering the theater.

disney1125.jpg

Jilly sat on the floor with the other kids and Jed and I grabbed a spot on a bench near the back. This was the first time I had seen Turtle Talk and I was amazed! Jed was really impressed too. It was so funny and the audience interaction was more than I dreamed possible!

disney1128.jpg

After wandering around the Seas Pavilion for a while, we headed over to Spaceship Earth. During the 10-minute wait, I continued to assure Jilly that we would not be moving fast and that it was not a roller coaster. At approximately 4:55 PM I looked over and saw this:

disney1147.jpg

Jed scooped Jilly up after the ride was over, and within minutes she was awake and ready to run around again!

Pretending she ate some grubs:
disney1156.jpg

We headed over to Club Cool for some refreshments. We all sampled a few flavors, and Jed was even brave enough to try the Beverly! After some convincing I even took a sip. I thought it tasted kind of like Jagermeister. Not sure why you would want to drink something like that if it didn’t have alcohol in it…

After a run through Mouse Gears to pick up some sunglasses for Jed (and a Figment doll for JIlly…) we headed back over to the Land Pavilion to use our Soarin’ fastpasses. We got there right as our time came up and we zipped through the fastpass lane! Of course, as we were waiting for the theater doors to open, Jilly began to jump up and down and say that she had to go potty! I told her she was going to have to hold it because we couldn’t get to a potty until the ride was over (mean, I know…). We got strapped into our glider (Figment too) and enjoyed the partially obstructed view of the screen from row three. I would have loved to see what it would be like without other riders’ feet above your head, but it’s probably best that we weren’t too far off of the ground while Jilly was with us. After the ride was over Jed asked Jilly if she liked it. She said, “Yeah. I never want to ride that again. I’m freaking out a little bit.”

We sprinted to the potty as soon as we were unbuckled from our seats and made it just in time! Since we were finished traumatizing Jilly we decided to head toward World Showcase. We stopped to let Jilly play in the fountains along the way, where we had the lovely opportunity to watch a boy play in his underwear, frequently pulling them down so the water would squirt through his butt cheeks and up his back.

See him over to the right?

With one last look back at Future World, we headed to the World Showcase...

Seriously...who let's their kid do that??!!!

the food looked so nice and healthy for a counter service, DBF would love it, and will be giving me evils for ordering french fries!

Jilly is so cute, love all the poses! looks like she keeps you entertained!

would you recommend the front row for Soarin'? never been before and not sure whether to wait for it or just go for a regular row?

Joining in - loving your report so far. Jilly is so cute - she sure is happy :)

I took my dd(5) on Soarin' too - but she liked it. We told her she was flying like Tinkerbell. And ya know, I have been in all 3 rows and honestly dont see too much difference.

Ready for more!

There was a lot to choose from at Sunshine Seasons, I don't think you could go wrong! I'm not sure if they have french fries though...:confused3

It seems like if you were in row one on Soarin' you would be further up into the screen, and I have heard that it's better when you can't see the feet of the people in front of you.

Thanks for joining in! Not to give another spoiler but Jilly was afraid on Dumbo...her favorite ride anywhere we go is the carousel! :headache:

I really liked our room and would stay at POR again in a heartbeat! You guys are going to have sooooo much fun!

We decided to completely disregard our touring plan and head right (like the rest of the pack) because I was pretty sure it was the quickest route to the Grey Goose Slushie stand. (How did I plan for months and never do enough research to find out in which country these could be found?) Jed was disappointed because the first stand he came to was out of the Sam Adams that he so desperately wanted.

Of course we had to get Jilly's picture with this beautiful couple...

disney1187.jpg

We zipped through the countries and at last I found it…my Grey Goose slushie! Yummmmm! I’m pretty sure it was in France???

Not a great picture but here it is...and I loved the huge Grey Goose bottle too...

disney1188.jpg

We then decided it was time for dinner so we headed to Morocco. We stopped to watch MoRockin’ and Jilly was completely enthralled by the belly dancer!

After they were finished playing, we spotted Jasmine and Aladdin! We tried to get in line but the cast member informed us that the line was closed. I snapped a picture just in case we weren’t able to see them later.

disney1233.jpg

We then went into the Tangierine Café and ordered our shawarma platters (chicken nuggets and French fries for Jilly) and a round of bottled waters. We had baklava for dessert.

disney1235.jpg

disney1236.jpg

It was soooo delicious, but Jed and I both agreed that the lamb was way better than the chicken. The tabouleh salad was so heavenly! I really need that recipe!

After we finished eating, we watched another performance by MoRockin’ and Jilly was really getting down! She went up to dance in front of the stage, and I swear she did a better job of following the belly dancer than her ballet instructor!

For the rest of the night she was doing "belly dancer" poses in most of her pictures!

You have a lot of great pictures! Can't wait to read more. popcorn::

Oh my gosh! I can't believe it's almost time for you to leave!!! You are going to LOVE POR! I already want to go back!

If Caitlin's anything like Jilly, she will be perfectly happy walking around meeting the characters! I don't think she would have noticed if we hadn't ridden a single ride, she was so caught up in the magic of seeing her favorite Princesses and other characters!

Yes! I love the grey goose slushies! I have to have one again in July!

Haha, loved the pics of Jillian's dancing. Looks like she was having such a fun time!

just found you...will catch up later...but subbing so I don't loose you again...can't wait to read all about it

Great TR installments! (especially since I was in one of them :goodvibes) Such a nice family pic in front The Seas Pavilion! And the one with Jilly pretending she ate some grubs is priceless! (So cute!)

I was impressed with Living with the Land too! I don’t remember riding it since I was little the last time I did. I just figured it would be boring, but I definitely enjoyed it and would want to see it again to see the stuff I missed.

That’s so cool that Jilly wanted to join in and do some dancing! My nephew and niece would always get shy when it came time to participate in parades or shows. Of course during the day when we wanted them to stand in line quietly they’d be dancing and acting silly. Figures.

They were quite delicious!!! I should have had another!

Jilly had so much fun dancing I considered buying her one of those scarves with the little jingly things...until I saw the price! :scared1:

Welcome, Connie! Thanks for looking me up!

Yay! You are famous now! :lmao:

Can you believe she was being that silly and posing for those pictures after falling asleep for five minutes (when she had been up since 4:30)?? I was amazed. It really is a magical place!

After riding Living with the Land, I really wanted to eat at the Garden Grill (that is the one that uses veggies from the ride, right?). Maybe if we get the regular dining plan next time...

It took a little nudging to get her up in front of the crowd without me, but Jilly never needs a reason to dance. I swear that girl has ants in her pants! And she sings...a lot...even in public!

I am ready for more! I got to the last page and had a little sad face because I wanted to keep reading! Good job on everything! I hope that I can remember to take as many pictures as you!
