What do you all carry into the parks? No the bag so to speak but whats in the bag.

I have a Vera Bradley B/P I plan to use for our stuff like $$, tickets snacks and that stuff. Then I plan to take another b/p (diaper bag) for ds's diapers and stuff like that.

I know we need the obvious like diapers wipes sunscreen snacks and antibacterial wipes or gel. Any other suggestions?

TIA

I keep it as light as possible. It gets to be a pain dragging a heavy bag on all the rides etc... Your list sounds good. Of course don't forget your camera!! :) I also bring in a few water bottles too, but place them and keep them in the stroller.

Wanted to add I also carry the V/B back pack and its great! Actually that is all I carry. I do not bring in any other bags. Like I said I don't like to lug too much onto each ride!! I see you have a 2yo so you most likely won't need a bunch of diapers everyday in the park. We just went with 2 yo DS in Feb. and I think I carried two diapers with each day into the park and of course a baggie of wipes.

I always bring a change of clothes (for the kids), including underwear. I actually have only needed it a couple of times, but it sure came in handy.

Depending on our scheduling, I bring a pair of pajamas for my son to change into before we leave the park at night. I'll give him a wipe-down and put on his PJ's in the restroom because he ALWAYS falls asleep on the bus and will stay asleep thru the next morning. (If we do this, he has a bath in the morning)

I also bring the travel-size magna-doodle. Great for keeping him occupied in lines or during lunch.

Don't forget some small table top activites to keep him busy while everyone else is still eating.

We took sandals for DS2 to wear when he ran through the water play areas. We also took a hat with a wide brim to keep the sun out of his eyes. We also took:

disposable sippy cup (didn't use, he just used a straw)
Sipahhs (straws with flavoring for milk-DS won't drink it plain)
wet paper towels (so he could wipe off and cool down)
disposable bibs
changing pads
a couple of little toys/bubbles for in ride lines/down time
disposable placemats
Misty Mate fan
light up fan
glow sticks
Tide to Go pen
extra batteries (for cameras and fans)
ponchos (plus an extra for the stroller)
band aids
Neosporin
lollipops
walkie talkies/cell phones
light blanket (for cool nights)
jacket (for cool nights)

We went back to the hotel for nap time every day, so I'd basically only load the bag with enough stuff for the morning and then add what we needed for that night. Have a great time!

I forgot to add that our backpack had a Camelbak water bladder insert, so we used the bottled water (from Staples) that we had refrigerated to fill the bladder each morning. It would stay cool all morning and then we'd just stick it in the freezer at naptime and we'd be good to go for the night. I think DS drank a lot more water this way since it was fun to use the big "straw".

We did this also and it's great. This way if DS fell asleep in the car or on the bus on the ride back to where we were staying, we'd just carry him in, put him in bed and he'd sleep through the night!

Here are some other things on my backpack list I haven't already seen listed:

Autograph book w/ sharpie marker
Camera for my DD4
ID tags for DD
Kleenex
Lanyards
Lip balm w/ sunscreen
ADR #s
Park maps
Pennies to press & quarters
Extra socks for all
Sunglasses
Toothpicks
Extra ziplock bags
Wash cloth in a ziplock

Put the clothes in a zip-loc bag and squeeze the air out. They take up much less room.
Also, when we were there and my son was in diapers, I would put the travel thingy of wipes, 3 diapers and a few disposable changing pads in a zip-loc bag, so when I needed to change him I just needed to bring that into the restroom and the big bag could stay in the bottom of the stroller outside w/hubby.

BTW - since he's 3-1/2 and completely potty trained (I'll still bring a change of clothes, cause you never know), I plan on sending him to the bathroom with his dad so I can relax outside by myself for 90 seconds in the sun. Payback for all of the diapers I had to change on the last trip. ;)

I take as little as possible! I add to that with kleenex, bandaids, travel container of advil, extra camera batteries. Oh, and the autograph books and pens.

I take the bare minimum when we go into the parks. Passes, camera, spare camera batteries, chapstick or lip glass, keys, cash/credit card and id. If we have the little one in tow than I slip 2-3 diapers and a pack of travel wipes in there. Anything else I figure I can buy in the park if we really need it. DS holds his asthma inhaler in his cargo shorts and DH usually stashes a bunch of Excedrin in his pocket and some bandaids in his wallet.

I take for DS4

Extra change of clothes for DS (yet to ever need them but you never know)
If we are at Epcot or MGM or AK I am more likely to leave them in the car.
MK is just a pain to go back to the car. I also take the smallest outfit I can
find, nothing cute usually.
Batteries and Camera
Matchbox Car
Board Book (about 2x2 inches and maybe 1/4 inch thick)
Bag of Cheerios
Wipes
Container of Pears
Nutri Grain Bar
Sunscreen
Medicine (usually just aspirin for us)
Umbrella (toss under the stroller, guarantees no rain)

That is about it. Before son was potty trained diapers of course, but kept it to a minimum. Again though, I could always go to the car.
