MOM wheelchair or not

my mom wants to go with us to wdw, but i think she is afraid her health will hold us back. she look good and looks in good health but she has breathing problems and can't walk very far plus her legs swell if she stands much or walks lond distances. any advise i would love my mom to go it's her grandson first trip any ideas
help me please

It sounds like a wheelchair or an ecv (also called a "scooter") would be great for her. Most people don't realize just how much walking is involved in a trip to WDW - as an example, the walkway around WS in Epcot is over 1 mile.
If she uses a wheelchair or ecv, she would be able to use it in almost every line, so she wouldn't have to worry about standing for long periods. You can rent a wheelchair or ecv at the parks (limited number of ecvs), but a lot of people prefer to rent from one of the off-site medical equipment companies:

Personally it is well worth the money I spend to rent an ECV while I am at WDW. I have a knee condition. The ECV helps me & my husband - I drive the ECV & he doesn't have to push a wheelchair . There is a lot more walking throughout WDW that one realizes before their trip. Whatever you all decide - Have Fun!
