First trip report ever! Cannot believe we are home! So sad to see it end but happy to be back with my family.
My oldest had spring break and was supposed to visit my folks in FLA for the week. However my grandmother is in poor health (she is 90) and my parents cut thier snowbird winter short to be with her. As my middle dd (7) HAD her break in March, and my youngest DS-5 is not a big traveler/flier, I decided to surprise DD-8 with a WDW trip (her 4th).:banana:
She thought she was going to Miami (we have a place there). After a tearful goodbye to DD-7 and DH, we had a towncar to the airport at 5am (DS was sleeping). She was OVERJOYED as we rode into the city- but handled the surprise well, given her high-functioning autism issues. She is in a small private school (3 kids in her class) but is very social and happy- just very immature for her age. Stressful situations are a huge trigger, where she could bolt/tantrum/freeze up, etc. If you live it, then you know...she is doing great- but has a harder time than most kids. :):thumbsup2

No issues on the flight. Happy Limo picked us up and took us to POFQ. We got to hotel by 11 am. Room not ready. We take a quick look around then take the boat to DTD. She loved it ..but I was sad to see Adventurers Club closed. I knew already, but seeing it was a bummer!
We had a pizze at Wolfgang Puck Express. Very good! I did try to drag her to Earl of Sandwich, but she said No WAY!:confused3

Room was ready at 3pm. Bags were delivered within 10 mins. We were in Room 2104. I loved the location!! We faced the courtyard. A very easy walk to EVERYTHING!!:cheer2:
After a quick unpack-thanks to Shoe Holder and Zip-Locs:woohoo:, we took a taxi to DHS. We split travels between bus/taxi/boat/monorail. Whatever is easiest is how we ride!
As we were just a few days past Easter, the crowds were HUGE! We stopped at Guest Services, and got DD her GAC. Much easier to do this at DHA than MK!! I will tuck that nugget into my memory for future reference.
First stop---Brown Derby. I love this place, and I had reserved the Fantasmic package. DD was not hungry and REALLY wanted to get out of there. I chowed down a dinner-she picked at hers. I wish I had picked another time to get here, as it was hard to enjoy such a rushed meal. We had a great server. We skipped dessert and tipped well:thumbsup2 Was not his fault we were in a rush!;)
With the GAC, we were able to get on TSM for the 1st time---awesome new ride!, then Star Tours:cool2:, MuppetVision :cool2:, then caught a few minutes of HSM performance. We went up to Fantasmic at about 7:30 pm. So Glad we did! With the dinner pckg AND GAC, we sat in last row of far right section (next to the rope). The place was PACKED! Standing room only, and then at capacity by 8:25. We were cold, the glowsticks I has broght from dollar store were terrible, and people were pushing at us from back and side until show started.:confused3
We loved the show! But as the breeze picked up, our fatigue got the best of us, and we left just seconds from the end. Thank goodness my girl loves a challenge- we braced out of the park as quickly as possible as the wave of crowd nipped at our heels. We got the bus just as it was ready to go and we were whisked away to POFQ.:wizard:

Day 2

We got up early to be at MK for opening. We got in first at7:55 am for our ADR at Crystal Palace. This was fun! Buffet was great, Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and eeyore were big hits with DD! :grouphug:We then boogied to Pixie Hollow and DD was a bit freaked to meet he girls!:lovestruc We worked our way through Fantasyland as she pleased. We ended up crossing back and forth with no apparent plan (despite my lame attempts on Ridemax AND TouringPlans :rolleyes1 ) At about 11am in Small World, she says "Can we go home?) as she looks exhaustedly at me. I am bummed, but off we go to get the bus. The crowd was really building at that point, so a break was probably a good idea. As we made it to the room, she bolts for the bathroom--uh-oh!:scared1:
She complaind of lower GI distress (aka the runs). I dig thru my well stocked medicine emergency kit and dig out a kids pepto dose, thinking of how to try to salvage the MK day. My thoughts were interupted as DD pukes up the pepto and breakfast!:sad1: Into bed we head for a rest. After a 3 hour nap, she wakes up feeling great! Off we go to MK. No other tummy issues for the rest of our stay, thank goodness:worship:
We had a great dinner at Tony's after a great trip thru Adventureland. Pirates has to be her all time fav. She will NOT get on a Mountain or coaster. No prob- I'm not into them either. We skipped the fireworks and parade, and headed on to Tomorrowland. The night was great as we shopped, snacked, browsed and rode until the next fireworks at 11pm. We were just oustide of the Noodle Station, and for the first time we saw Tink FLY!!!! :woohoo: Absolutely Magical!

We then headed home, much slower this time, and made it to our room at about 1 am. Barely had the strength to brush the teeth!

Gotta run- up next : Day 3=Cape May/Photo shoot/ Epcot/ San Angel Inn/Chefs De France

Signing on for more. I often say that trip reports and pictures are what keep me sane until our next WDW vacation. Hope you'll be posting pictures so we can put a face to you two.
