When using Genie+ return times and rider swap when one parent rides with the six year old and one stays with the two year old, does the remaining parent have to then ride alone, or can the six year old ride twice?

with my 8yo and 6yo (same height, way different thrill tolerance), if we have a LL booked for all 4 of us and the young one won't ride, we just have them switch bands so the older one can ride twice.

i assume 2yos don't have MBs or genie+ but something to consider in a year or two.

The older child can ride twice but we’ve never done that. I just take the younger child to do something else and we still have fun!

Our last trip was our first where we had one who was tall enough for certain rides but the younger one was still too small. I'd never given much thought to the whole ride swap thing before, because we'd never been in the position to need it, and so I just assumed that with Genie+ hubby and I would just need to take turns going on with her vs. going on alone. Which is what we did, and it worked out fine really, except it WOULD have been more fun if we weren't each riding alone every other time.

I only learned that she could have ridden with each of us once we got home, and now I am very much looking forward to making use of it on our upcoming trip.

I knew this was how it worked in olden days! Just wasn’t sure that was how it still worked. As the six year old has just reached 52 inches, we have to hope he will WANT to ride some things twice!😳😬🫣
