First of all--HAPPY WEDNESDAY everyone!!! (Although I am sure most of you probably won't see this until Thursday--so sorry!!!) I can't believe it is after 10:30pm and this is the first time I could get to my computer ALL DAY!!! Let me tell you about it!
First, we woke up early this morning around 7am because Megan wanted to pull off the next number on our calendar. JUST TWO MORE DAYS TO GO!!! After that, she and I started getting ready right away because we knew that we were heading over to Mom's house for breakfast right away, and then we would be going to have pedicures done with my sister and Kristi. We got to my Mom's and had a great breakfast----AND THEN IT STARTED--the torrential downpours!!! We decided to wait for a little while to let the storms pass before we headed out. This morning's storm was not that bad--just a lot of thunder and lightning and buckets of rain. Once it settled down, we headed out for our pedicures. THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! Mom picked a pretty coral color, Kristi picked fuschia, Megan picked BRIGHT BLUE, and I picked a neat violet color that reminded me a lot of the purple color in my Teva sandals--I HAVE TO BE STYLING DON'T YOU KNOW!!! We all sat together and chatted it up and relaxed while we got our pedicures. Megan LOVES doing this SO much!!! The lady doing her toes also added a cute white flower bud on her big toes on each foot--too cute!! She LOVED them, and we could tell she thought she was TOO CUTE!!! While we were in there, the heavens opened up AGAIN and began pouring down rain once more--although we were happily surprised that there was NO lightning or thunder!!! We decided to go grab some lunch at one of our favorite little Mexican restaurants in our town---they have the BEST guacamole, and their prices are SO cheap!!! We all had a GREAT lunch and chatted all about the trip!
Once we got back to my Mom's, Kristi had to leave to go home and see Justin who had just gotten home from being on call all night at the hospital! I put Megan down for a nap--sort of--and worked on some laundry that I had brought to my Mom's to do while I was there. THEN the rains came AGAIN!!! This time, they didn't really let up--they just kept getting worse and worse, until we eventually spent over an hour in my Mom's basement because of a Tornado warning!!! What a day!!! I would have LOVED to get on and DIS while I was at Mom's, but the weather just kept me from it---SO SORRY GUYS!!! I know you have been waiting for this update--please forgive me!!! I do hope all those who are reading this that also live in this area are okay and unharmed by the storms!!! We all are okay, but are looking forward to an end to all this severe weather we have had over the past couple days!!!

THIS TIME NEXT WEEK:
It will be a BEAUTIFUL, bright and sunny Wednesday morning (I am thinking happy thoughts), and we will be EXTRA happy because we will be heading back to our favorite place of all--MAGIC KINGDOM!!! (Of course we will be there for rope drop!!)
There will again be no set agenda, but I am sure we will have to visit some of our old friends again:
Spend carefree time tempting the Tiki Gods near the Jungle Cruise to NOT get us wet!!

(This is Megan running through the water sprays that shoot out of the Totem Poles in Adventureland--she did this for about an hour and was DRENCHED!! But oh what fun we had!!! LOVED IT!!!)

and also Roundup Woody and all his friends
Yes--that is Megan in the blue with her back to me the WHOLE time--she was too focused on two of her faves!! Sorry they are crooked--can't get them to right themselves!!! Don't KNOW WHY!!!!!
And at some point we will have lunch at one of our favorite watering holes--maybe Cosmic Ray's if we haven't hit it already:
I'm sure our afternoon will be full of fun!! We may even head back to the hotel for a great break from the action! and a dip in that great pool!!
In the evening, we will head to the Grand Floridian Cafe for a great meal, and then back to the MK for a night full of magic and wonder and lots of rides!!! Hopefully we can catch Spectromagic and the fireworks! There's no better place to be on a great night than at the Magic Kingdom!
Ok--that was a shorter installment, but I couldn't get to it until late!! I will make up for it tomorrow--I know you are all just dying to see what we will be doing ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW!!!!
Okay, I have some other updates to the trip that I wanted to let you in on too!!! A week ago, Mike had told me that he had scheduled a couple of extra ADRs for two character breakfasts for the kids and him. They now have a great desire to do this since they saw the Jon & Kate Disney special. So he is taking his crew to a breakfast on Sunday at Tusker House and on Friday at Cape May Cafe. This propelled us to think about doing this as well as a great alternative to standing in long lines to see the gang. So, we first tried to add on to Mike's Sunday ressie, but had no luck. So I called those great people at WDW Dine, and GUESS WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?! We got a 7:10am ressie on June 10 (Our Epcot day!) at CHEF MICKEY'S for all 10 of us--needless to say we are ALL SO EXCITED!!!! We will then hop on the monorail and head over to Epcot. The only question I have now, is trying to figure out the best way to get to the Contemporary that early in the AM--may actually have to drive it over! HMMMMMMM?????? ANY ADVICE???????? Help me out!
Other update--Maddie has also now decided to go to the Princess dinner with us at Akershus on the 10th--losing her inhibitions about the characters---YEAH!!!
So that was the good news part of the update, the bad news is that Kristi had a HORRENDOUS time trying to change around her flight--Delta usually gives us no problems about doing it, but NWA wanted to charge her an additional $600--NO WAY JOSE!!! So, she is now back to going home on Wednesday---BOOO!!! BUMMER!!!
We are all a little sad!! But we are going to focus on the fun we will have with her while we are together!
Okay, I think that does it for Wednesday--although I am sure many of you are seeing this on Thursday--in that case, stay tuned because another update will be coming VERY SOON!!!!!!!!!
The look was priceless!! I don't think she could understand that there are people who have not been!! TOO FUNNY!! I wish I could have taken a picture of it! I think I have all my shopping done--got to Walmart to pick up a good mister fan (Thanks Lesley). Tomorrow we have pedicures, and then I will finish up the laundry and packing----so close I can taste it!!! Look forward to another "This time next week" installment tomorrow!!!! Talk soon, Jen
Did you take pics of all of y'all's toes after the pedis???? I would love to see Meg's little flowers.
