Molly from AllEars leaving :(

I have suspected this, especially with them phasing Quincy in more and more. I suspected that they were training Quincy to be the "next Molly."

But, then I thought maybe they were just trying to formulate a more diverse product.

I'm not surprised.


I am sure it was amicable, but I am curious how much of Molly's stuff will follow Molly to her new channel, and how much Allears will claim as its own. #fiddlefaddle? "and it's been magical."?

I agree, I knew something was up when they sent Quincy on the Wish media cruise instead of Molly. Quincy is fine, but definitely not able to "replace" Molly. She is okay, but not a standout. It will be interesting! Looking forward to what Molly does next.

I have been following all Ears before DFB bought it in 2017. I found the site in 2011 for my first trip to Disney. I am pooh sized and All ears and here really help me understand Disney. Then I would follow lightly until 2016 when we started to plan again. And then in full Disney in 2017-Present. What I find interesting is there was major rumors that Molly was part of the ownership group. That Molly is the one that bought All Ears in 2017 but DFB helped her with the webpage and start the youtube channel. I am only wondering if that is part of the reason for the break up. Molly knows she is AllEars and DFB was trying to branch out and it pissed her off. It is very interesting that All Ears/DFB hasnt said a word. I do know she has more videos to come out. But they could have put out a post after Molly said it the gram.

Having been an All Ears follower for 20+ years, I can say that for me, it definitely was not the same after it was purchased by DFB. I'm retired too, so I can understand why Deb Wills wanted to retire, but boy do I miss it every week when the email comes.

You are right it did change. I have noticed the same content gets recycled more often.

Interesting…. I too have read AE for the last 15 years or so… albeit sporadically- but definitely referred to it as a resource in trip planning.

I had no idea DFB bought it- but I did notice it evolve over the years to more “breaking news” heavy as opposed to a wealth of resources categorized for your fingertips.

I must admit I dislike the rolling “news” of some of the leading blogs- can feel very click baity because there’s a crazy headline and you have to scroll scroll scroll to get to something g not really that earth shattering after all.

My favorite blogger by far was Josh, and I still think of him often and am so sad he’s left this earth.

I only recently found Molly, and she was such a refreshing change of pace from what’s currently out there that we became huge fans.

Disappointing that Duckfist might be joining her. Can’t stand him.

Guess we will see what the future brings!!

It makes sense now. I've noticed DFB giving a shout out to AllEars and figured there had to be something up. DFB wouldn't give a shout out unless there was something in it for them.

Although I enjoy some of their videos from time to time, DFB and AllEars might as well be owned by Disney themselves. They are practically a commercial for the company. They will never say anything out right negative. I prefer WDWNT for more open perspective of what's going on in the parks.

Same! All Ears posted a "Polynesian Bar Crawl" video today with Breedlove Quincy and a new girl (as far as videos go, she may have been with the company a while but I haven't seen her in videos until about a week ago) and it just wasn't the same energy as when Molly was reporting. I really enjoy Breedlove and Quincy in their RTT videos but its a totally different vibe when they are reporting from the parks. Molly will surely be missed.

I like Quincy's resort videos and her videos with Molly. I don't like her solo park videos because those need to have a type of tour guide feel that she just doesn't do nearly as well as Molly.

I tried to watch it and turned it off half way through. The new girl seems nice I guess and she was definitely picked because of how similar of a look she has to Molly (blonde, young, bubbly, bright eyed), but when she talks she seems very green, bland, and deer caught in headlights. Basically I wouldn't trust anything she told me over a Disney bus driver.

Molly was my only reason for watching Allears TBH (though I also love Rjay. I LOVE his energy and humor!) Her park videos at Disney and Universal were entertaining, funny and informative all at the same time. I have officially entered "fiddle faddle" into my vocabulary because of her. I love watching her videos while I WFH and do laundry - it brings a little bit of Disney magic into my home when I'm not there.

I have nothing against Quincy, Breedlove and the rest of the cast but none of them are nearly as entertaining as her (minus Rjay). I have tried watching a few of the recent non-Molly videos, specifically the Food and Wine review and the Polynesian Bar Crawl one, but I couldn't finish either one. It just isn't the same without Molly . I'm thinking of unsubscribing once the last of the Molly videos come out.

I look forward to seeing what Molly does next. She, Alan and Duckfist are very fun to watch on Duskfist's Twitch streams so I would gladly subscribe to a new channel with the three of them or just Molly doing her own thing.

I like him in the discussion videos and when he did his vegan food crawl with Molly because when we see him in those it's centered around topics he's comfortable being public with, his love of Epcot and being a vegan. So we see the same one dimensional aspect of him over and over again and it gets old quickly. If all I heard about was Quincy's hate of marshmallows and love of Shrek or Molly's obsession with ears and her hate of hot dogs I'd probably feel similarly about them.

I understand, but I watched the Allears Wish video, and Quincy nailed it. She is a natural.

Haven't seen it but I'm not surprised. Like I said, I like her resort videos, and cruises these days are basically floating resorts.

From Instagram posts, it seems like Molly, Alan (her husband) and Max (AKA Duckfist) will be collaborating on something! They are all very close and have a good dynamic. Max and Alan both posted that they will no longer be doing "guest" appearances on All Ears. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do!
