I've been reading some discouraging things here on the dis and other boards about the shuttle service around the property lately. We have a couple of reservations that we really don't want to miss. BFF & I are going to rent a car for our trip. Now we might not use it at all on Friday or Saturday but we'll have it for our 8:35 breakfast reservation at Grand Floridian. More importantly we'll have it on Sunday, 9/14. We can check out of Pop, stash our luggage in the trunk and not have to go back to the resort to catch ME. That will free up so much of our time on Sunday to spend in the parks!

A couple of you have been down there recently. Any problems with longer than average waits for a bus?

yes I was at MGM last weekend and the wait for the AKL bus was over 30 min.

Hi Y'all! Just posting to get everyone's attention at once. Easier then PM's.

Straight to the point. I am getting the "treat bags" finished up for the party at the MK and want to get them packed away to go as soon as possible. Anyone who has/is getting/or would like to contribute items to them, please, please, please get your items to me ASAP!
If you are contributing, remember to get 20 of the same or similar items to put in. They dont have to be expensive, but please no glass (aka-breakable) , liquid, or meltable things like candy. Florida is hot, things melt.
Make them small enuf to fit into a gallon size ziploc bag or smaller.

Also we need someone to purchase small (like keychain size) flashlights. Oriental trading is a good source for those. I have to attach those to a surprise for you all and get those packed away too. (make sure they include batteries please-kinda useless without them. )

OH...and anyone coming to the MK on the 7th, dont forget to get me your addy so I can mail out the invites with the where, when and who. Trying to keep it as private as possible and not announce to the whole web Look for them toward the middle of July.

Sorry, we didn't use the buses even once. I too, have read about the bus issues

You are so funny saying you are old. From meeting you last year and seeing the picture you posted on here of you and DH at DTD you certainly do not look old to me. Your mind is young that's what counts. I sure do hope you get an answer to the health issues and make it a good, easily fixable one. Sounds like the DGS is keeping you busy and your mind thinking. Want another child I can send you my 13 yo DS. I will guarantee he will keep you on your toes. When there is no book in his hands and he is quiet you will know he is up to something. lol

I really think the bus system is all relative and different people feel different depending on their expectations. I did hear they started a new route for the busses so maybe that is making a difference in some way. Personally, we only use the busses and if we have an early morning breakfast at one of the MK resorts we just hop on about an hour before out reservation time and have always been early and the bus is never crowded. At Pop that early in the morning when we used the buses (7am) there has always been a van with a guy who watches the lines and calls the bus to come when people are waiting. I don't know if they always do this but it has been my experience.
Wish I had been there recently to give you the answer you really want.

Just got back from Great America and boy was it CROWDED We waited an hour and half for one coaster. I guess I really cant complain we got in for free and got seasons passes for $50 each not the normal $90. Works out great seeing as we are like 10min from the park.

Bonz I think I lost count at the 3rd move. But I know what you mean when we were in California they first put us in a handicapped room. Then put us in a room that was not even cleaned Finally they upgraded us to premium ocean view

Pooh I definatly want to see pics of your dress. I am so glad my dog does not care if it rains she sleeps right through it. It has rained so much this past month and there is more on the way. I heard of a thunderstorm warning throught the night tonight.
