Bonz and Rie, I wish you both a very, very happy birthday. I always celebrate late so that I stand out from the crowd AND extend your time to party. I once helped an elderly friend celebrate all month long!

Bonz, I hope you are talking about all those problems in your motel room rather than your house, after all a motel is temporary and someone else is responsible for cleaning and repairs. I like the seat over by the waterfall at Boma's.

Ants, I am so hoping that after they get me all fixed up that I will not get worn our just READING about your adventures and can have some of my very own. You sure do have a string of suitors, deservedly so. I am shocked that they do not follow you home though.

Pooh, my birthday will be July 25th. Yep, I am a Leo. Shocking is it not? I hope you get your laptop back and it is fine. Do you have a backup drive? A one touch is best because you are more apt to actually do it.

Ang, I took a shower and washed my hair today. Oh, joy!! It has been several days and I stunk. Sure to improve my disposition for sure. I am going to volunteer to pass out supplies this afternoon. They gave me a sit down job. I think I can do that one.

I just chatted with a DIS friend from just south of me and they are fine too. The newspaper is full of sad stories. One lady, 67, lost her fully paid for home. Imagine starting over again at that age and without much money? Lots of uplifting stories of people doing heroic things too.

Mom2Evie, I have always thought that you were awesome but to hear that you can yell 'Stop it' and make earthquakes quit their trembling and rumbling??? I tend to close my eyes and scream when really bad things happen and it has never helped.

I have things to clean. Lots of things to clean. No laundry yet as the water pressure is too fragile for that but sure is better than nothing.

BTW, Timmie, this would be a good time to visit me as I have a backyard full of Marines.

oh my gosh at least you guys are okay and thats the most important thing everything else can be fixed!

Ms. Linda No laptop still not fixed and they are backing up our hard drive before they see what the problem is this way we won't lose anything from it.

If you ask my daughter when her birthday is, she'll tell you July. If you ask her to be more specific she used to get confused. July is our vacation month, visiting friends month & visiting family. At each stop along our journey, friends & family would want to celebrate her birthday with cake & gifts. Of course, we usually did cupcakes & balloons at her preschool or summer program, a small cake with just us (& in-laws) on her actual birthday and then her big blowout birthday party on the Saturday before or after her birthday. Two years running she had 10 & 9 different birthday "events". As far as she's concerned, her birthday is JULY.

Tornado passed by yeaterday @ OKW. It is amazing how the palm trees can bend and not snap. More storms for this afternoon. Water was seeping in thru the roof of our room. They are here now trying to dry us out. As for being calm, I posted DH made it back from liquor store so all is well
BTW-DxDDP=waaaaaaay too much. Have not used one SC but we are just about at the break point for $. See how rest of stay goes, but I don't even want to look at food awhile.

My birthday is September 13th.

How is everyones week going. Mine ok they let go of two people today. I guess I should be happy that I have a job.

I am sitting here calling my phone company man they suck. I have been transfered twice and been on hold now for 48min. yes I said 48 They sent me a letter saying I violated the terms of my unlimited local and long distance plan and i was going to be put on a diffrent plan for 5cent a min. but no one can tell me what term I violated.

Nancy, will pm you on DxDDP upon return. Still have not used any smack credits,and we are now two TS/CS in the hole. My kid didn't want to eat tonight. As far as $, it still looks like we are ahead of the game. Will to a tally after we leave.

well fed ex'd our laptop to HP and hopefully we will know what is wrong with it soon. We took it here locally to hav everything backed up in case HP screwed it up and erased everything.

Ants, I always thought that firemen would make good husbands because they had to know how to cook and clean for themselves and were gone for a few days and then home for a few days. I once had a Navy guy propose marriage to me as he was dying and wanted someont to be there for his two children. I wish I had taken him up on it but I was awfully young and was grossed out by his declaration that I could do 'my own thing' when he was 'at sea'. I am a terribly normal person underneath all this mindless blather. The troops are still here. Actually the governor was in my backyard yesterday also. Election year brings them all out.
