SIGH, he is still on the commision bit. He says he can make 500$ a month commision. I keep telling him you cant count that when comparing the 2 jobs cause it is not guaranteed. BTW 1% and the guy still hasnt gotten back to him on whether the extra buck wanted will be accepted or not. HMMPPFFF!

Timmie, I can imagine how you are feeling. You are just like me, you take care of everyone and feel responsible for everyone. All you can do is your best and I would trust your intuition as to how your dad is doing by his voice. Sounds as if he is in the right place though so that he can be taken care of and treated when they figure this thing out. Maybe you can use your computer skills to suss out the symptoms. It is amazing how many times I have been able to do so. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and yours today.

Timmie, it sounds as if many serious things have been ruled out so that is good but what a relief when they find out exactly what is wrong and can then go to work in fixing your dear dad all up.

it is now 1PM their time and I was able to talk to my mom. All the blood work and scans and echocardio etc were negative. They just cannot find why the swelling of the left leg wont go down. He is now on triple dose antibiotic and will keep him for further observation. I did have them faxed me all his results and so far my friend at work did go through the result and have said the same thing all they can think of is that it is the varicose veines that os causing havoc and infected. Where did the infection originated they cannot pin point. The blood cultures are still cooking again mrsa and vre came out negative which is a big relief for me. I am somewhat releive also when I talked to my mom ( just hang up with her minutes before I started typing this). My mom is the panicky weak type. It has been me and my dad who have been her leaning post but for a change she sound positive and perky and tells me over and over that there is really nothing to worry... budget wise they are OK. Doctors and nurses has been in tow 24/7 I just hope that she really means what she tells me and not just making face so I wont worry.

Doctors and nurses has been in tow 24/7 I just hope that she really means what she tells me and not just making face so I wont worry.

First, I'm glad to hear that your Mom sounded good. It's important for her to be strong and positive. maybe she's been panicky int he pst because she knew that you & your dad would stay focused. It's amazing what the mind can do when it really needs to. The negative blood tests are a good sign as well. It sounds like he's in good hands. I know this is difficult, if not impossible to accomplish but try to relax and don't stress too much.

We were watching Ameridan Idol on Tuesday night and Evie said, "That woman always wants to say something nice." And then did a pretty good Paula impression, saying a few things that Paula throws out there. Evie then said, "She just wants them to feel happy. Not all of them are really good you know."

It's cute that my daughter understands tact. It's too bad that often times, like her Mother, she chooses not to practice it.

As soon as I find a self defense class in this area I will be signing DS up for it. I would do karate but he does not like contact sports escpecially when females are on the team. He is excellent in soccer but the girls could take that ball from him without any fight. Tried Karate and when they put him up against a girl he refused to hit her in any way. At least I know he won't be hitting his future girlfriends but I fear he will let them hit him. Self defense sounds like our best course of action for him.

I love the view now too since Whoopie Goldberg is on. I also used to love Elizabeth but she has gotten on my nerves for a while now. She just doesn't shut up and listen and refuses to hear other peoples views when they do get a chance to talk. This annoys me because I want to hear everyone on the shows views not just hers. I think she is just too young to listen to someone older and wiser with a wider view than her own. I wonder if she will be the next to go.

Sounds to me like you raised a very polite young man Ang! Aren't there a couple different types of karate, maybe one of them wouldn't require your son to hit a girl? Or maybe some of the karate classes are all boys?

I haven't watched the View since Whoopie signed on.....must be due to the fact that I'm at work when it's on???

Speaking of watching show's, my husband calls me at work yesterday asking how much $$$ I had, so being the curious person that I am....asked him why, something in our 56" tv blew up yesterday morning! So we now have to go and buy a new TV this weekend . You know, just when I start to be able to stash some $$ away for September, all h*ll breaks loose! gggrrrr!!!

There is a non-stop flight from Orlando to Newport News on Sunday, Sept 14th that is only $66. I could use my $25 discount on that flight. The downside, it leaves at 11:00 AM. We'd been planning to do like we did last year, get up early & head over to the Animal Kingdom. Evie will want to do the Safari and/or kali River Rapids. We were going to use our passes to get Kandi fast passes for EE too.

That being said, the 3pm flight is $136 and the 4pm flight is $194. How do I justify that pricing difference, especially when those two flights don't land until 8pm. We should get home earlier so Evie can chat with her Daddy about her trip & still get to bed at a decent hour. There are flights into Richmond that leave at 2pm & arrive at 6pm (or so). That would work better with our schedule but they're $136 also.

I had the same dilma yesterday but I just sucked it up (for me that is cuz I am a solo)and bit the bullet and left later in the day and it still is costing me 121 after the discount and with picking my seats @6.00 it was like 147 with taxes so not happy with price over all but this way I don't have to worry about my luggage until I get home that night YEAH!!!

Updates...

I just woke up... got a call from mom... since I explained to her that I am taking my aunt to WDW ( my dad's almost sister but really a 1st cousin... long story.. ones you really get to know me.. my life is just a plain long story... bear with me ) and was planning on just postponing.. but mom explained what else are we gonna be doing here at home since yes! they are in the hospital but the hospital is 24 hours away by flight and mom explained not to tell my aunt so yup I am telling her about this by the end of the trip , hopefully by then my dad is out of the hospital. My dad send me pictures via text messages and he looks pretty OK... He is a walking patient which he is encourage to do so.. (picture of him at the nurses stations with all the nurses.. he does look like he is enjoying this ). He did sound in good spirit and again it is "just" the swelling of his thigh ~ his words ~ which have subsided a little already according to him. he even got 1st dibs on what to eat coerced the dietary to give him extra since he explained that he is on vacations . The doctor did not give him any restrictions... my dad is not a junk eater and eats healthy which is why I guess everybody were not ordered on the extras he asked.. like veggies and milk So there we go... the weather is yukky... it is dreary and gloomy but atleast I got some good news... would be great but for right now I can calm down a little bit.
