We wonder how the fridge swap works. Our vacation dates are from the 29th of October to the 9 of Nov 2007. Could you plese provide more information and the cost.

Hi. Basically we pool money (if 20 of us join in it would be approx. $5-7 per person) and purchase a mini fridge and have it delivered to the resort. Then we pass it from one DIS'er to the next, thus the importance of getting the calendar filled up. The fridge can sit in storage at the resort for a few days but we can't have the big week long gaps.

When the 1st person is done using the fridge they return it to the bell desk after clearly marking it with the next DIS'ers name and reservation number and so on.

I will mark you down for October 29 (hey, that's my birthday!) thru November 9. Disney charges $10 per day for a mini fridge so you will save over $100 by using our fridge swap!

Spread the word...we HAVE to get July filled!

So how do we pay for the fridge and what is the total cost 5 or 7 dollars? And is that price for the whole 10 days? What would be the next step?

The next step at this point is to fill up the rest of July and first part of August as that time frame is our biggest gap. If we can get those dates filled in we are good to go.

Looking at $96 total for the fridge so depending on how many people we can confirm, we will split the cost to reach the $96. So if it works out to $7 per person, that pays use during the entire length of your stay.

Our 1st DIS'er needs the fridge for June 5th so we REALLY need to get July dates filled in so we have time to order/deliver. Need to allow for approximately 7 days for delivery.

Maybe Disney wouldn't notice if our fridge sat in their storage for 4 or 5 weeks??

With the free dining in swing, I am really surprised we haven't had any takers for September 6-12 either! The rest of the year is filling up nicely so why not July?? Anyone
