Modify reservation timing

Hello all,

I'm about a week out from when I want to modify my reservation for a Jan trip and a stay at the Cabins at Ft. Wilderness. I have modified before but nothing that was selling out fast. I have been checking on availability and it is selling out as soon as the clock strikes 8 am. My question is what time can I start modifying? Can I start at 7:55 and then finish at 8 am or do I have to start the process at 8 am exactly? I have seen conflicting answers on You tube. Also how are these rooms gone as soon as 8 am hits, it takes me a minute or two to get through the process? Any tips or tricks are appreciated. I do have my home resort booked so if it doesn't happen it's not a huge deal, just want to try the Cabins out for the first time.

You can start early it's the screen where you select the date for your reservation of the specific room that you can't go past until it's booking time.

Saying you want to modify and doing the search for the room you can do early.

Once it's time to book and you hit continue that's when it does the time check if booking is open and if you are early you need to reset the search.

Once you do press continue it does lock in the room temporarily. I still rush through personally as you can always go back to edit people's names or add people.

Also how are these rooms gone as soon as 8 am hits, it takes me a minute or two to get through the process?

Most likely someone is using bots or running a script to take the rooms immediately.
