Edited on 4/8 to exclude code. Apparently this is only targeted to certain areas. To find out if you have a code available, log into www.bankone.com/disney. Sorry for any confusion.

Just thought I'd mention that there's a new package code for Disney Visa Holders for 5/26-8/23. Here's the info:

It's the vacation of your dreams at a rate you've wished for. Your Walt Disney Travel Company Dream MakerTM Package includes:

Three or more nights at a select Walt Disney World® Resort Hotel.

An Ultimate Park Hopper Ticket to all four Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, Water Parks and more for the length of your package stay.

And every Disney Resort includes exclusive benefits, like legendary Disney service 24 hours a day.

3-Night Package from $364** per person at Disney's Moderate Resort. Represents a savings of $90* per person
3-Night Package from $439** per person at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Represents a savings of $105 - $165* per person

Also, receive 0% APR+ on your package just by using your Disney's Visa® Card! Package must be booked April 1 through May 25, 2003.

*Savings based on the non discounted rate for the same package. $165 savings available 5/26-7/3/03 and $105 savings available 7/4-8/23/03 for Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge package.

**Rate, based on adult double occupancy, is available most nights 5/26-8/23/03. Number of packages available at this rate is limited. Package must be booked April 1 through May 25, 2003. Not combinable with any other offers, discounts or promotions. Offer subject to change without notice.

Disney's Visa® Card must be used for the reservation in order to obtain Disney Dream Reward DollarsSM. For complete details, be sure to refer to your Disney Dream Reward DollarsSM guide. Offer made by Disney - Bank One not responsible for offer fulfillment.

So this code will be good only for Disney Visa holders? Do you have to provide your card number when you book with this code?

You have to use the Disney Visa card to pay for it to get the discount.

Beth,
where did you see this offer, when I logged onto the Disney Visa site I only see the current offer until July 3rd.

Thanks

Maybe you need to refresh the screen?

Also, you don't need to use the card to book the whole vacation. Just the deposit.

It seems that Disney is offering different discounts based on where you live (I don't know if it is by region or by state).

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I just did a run-through of a moderate resort without any discounts, dream maker package, at a three night stay, and I came up with $360 per person.

What dates did you use? I just did a run through on Disney's site. I used dates within the package offer and it came up with $498 pp.

Apparently the offers that appear in our Visa accounts after logging in, vary from person to person, and area to area.

And that's why we're not supposed to post codes not available to everyone on this board.

Ditto!

I was a little surprised to see this code posted when it is only supposed to be for Disney Visa people.

I was thinking the same thing. Why post a code that is only for a specific group?

Cindala, I think the same thing you do. I have one offer in my special offers and it's the original one. I just received my card last week and have not used it. I wonder if you get more offers the more you use the card?

SORRY!!!! I didn't know that this was for only a specific area. As far as codes for Disney Visa, I thought I'd mention it. Had no idea that you "shouldn't" post these. A code was posted last month for Disney Visa so I had no idea that "I had broken the LAW".

Sheesh....I'll keep my thoughts to myself next time!

 I love high drama.

Anyway, I have posted info in the past but left the code out. Here's this to think about though...Disney is obviously using more target marketing. What good is it doing when we broadcast those codes for everyone to see? What good is it to hold rooms waiting for a discount to come out? I wait until there is a rate I can live with. If discounts come out after that and my DU agent gets me the better rate great. If not then I ALREADY have a rate I can deal with. What incentive does Disney have to come out with AP rates when rooms are already booked? Or come out with codes that are meant for specific areas when they get broadcast? I think in some ways this posting of codes is actually going to end up hurting Disney and in turn there will be less discounts. That's why you get a Disney travel expert like Dreams.

High drama indeed!

Just thought I was helping by informing a relative newbie of the rule.
If you want to post about something you received like a postcard, e-mail or Disney Visa ad, that's fine. Just don't post the code.

I guess it's all in how it's written. I didn't "read" the orig. post this way.

And I thought I was helping.......I've apologized once, not going to apologize again.

Beth,
I wouldn't worry. Some disney visa holders may not have been aware of the existence of these specials and you informed them. That's a good thing. You may have saved them some money.

And if others tried to use the code, CRO would have informed them that they needed the visa to do so. So the ineligibles, would have been stopped from using the special codes.

I don't have the Disney Visa, nor did I want it. Don't worry, I wouldn't dream of taking an offer that wasn't intended for me. That's why I'm patiently waiting for an AP rate. It's too bad that the specially targeted Disney Visa ads will probably mean lower or no ads targeted towards AP holders. Many of which have been loyal Disney vacationers for quite some time.
