My mom and dad have been "working class" all their lives, always working hard but never seeming to have quite enough cash at the end of the month. Hence, they budget a lot, and as part of this, have neglected themselves at times, on things such as trips to the doctor especially. Before this past week, the last time my mom went to a doctor was when I was in high school, about ten years ago, when she had a really bad flu.
Anyway, last Sunday at work, my mom slipped and fell, falling on her knee and hurting it real bad. It was all black and blue and swollen and made it painful to walk. She decided, that, though it hurt bad, she could tolerate it and would wait to go to the dr. until Monday.
So Monday she goes...they take her blood pressure...I don't know what the bottom number was, but the top was 230! They whisked her off to the emergency room, just as soon as they got it down to a level they deemed safe for travelling. The doctor said that had she not come in, she would have likely had a stroke within a week to a month.
I just think this is miraculous, cause I know my mom would never have gone to the doctor had she not fallen so badly. I can kinda hear God saying, "I'm sorry, this fall is going to hurt, but it has to be done for your sake!"
Just thought I'd share!

Hopefully her blood pressure will be under control soon, as will her swollen knee!
