Just hit the "report" link and report it as spam. That way the mods may find it quicker.

I've seen it happen several times before. Those posts usually disappear in a few hours.

sent in reports a bit ago , but that guy is now up to 30 posts he posts faster then can be reported , someone needs to get a life and find something better to do with their time

Must have happened earlier in the night than normal--- happens about once a week. If you see it again, Report it and as soon as a mod can get to it they'll be gone

I'm sure people are doing that as well. I think the concern is why aren't mods/disboard tech putting a stop to it sooner? I believe this site use to have an account verification procedure where new accounts had to be individually approved before they could start posting. Perhaps that is necessary again.

its not actually a person, most spam is created by a computer program called a bot. These bots are like spiders, they crawl the internet looking for openings and then once in they multiple.

It must be something to do with the website going into and coming out of maintenance mode for the the daily downtown. I notice it most in the half hour or hour before the website goes offline and when it come back online.

I believe the Mods are all volunteers who have lives and most likely jobs. They get to them as quick as they can. I've been a member since 2003 and I don't remember there being any approval process.
