Moderately Priced Table Service Restaurants

HI!!! So, I know everything is more expensive in Disney but I was trying to get a better idea of what restaurants are out there. We are thinking of the California Grill for one night and the Flying Fish Cafe for another which are both pretty pricey. I am looking for a sit-down restaurant that is moderately priced. We enjoy a variety of cuisines including Japanese, Chinese, American, Italian, etc. We are pretty open to anything. However, I am looking for a sit- down restaurant with good food, good service, and reasonably priced. Thank you for your help!

Prime Time at Hollywood Studios is a good bang for your buck. The pot roast is VERY good. Of course it is just plain ole American food but we like it. The servers are fun too. Also others that come to mind include Sci Fi at the studios and also The Plaza in MK. The Wave menu at the Contemporary looked good and it didn't look too expensive either.

I've been on the DDP so I don't look at the prices but I would think Kona Cafe might not be too expensive.

Even with the dining plan we usually end up with some OOP meals so these are the TS places that we've found to be less expensive.

Epcot: Rose and Crown for both lunch and dinner.

MK: Liberty Tree for lunch
Plaza Restaurant

DHS: Sci Fi Dine In

Resorts: Grand Floridian Cafe (GF)
Olivia's (OKW)
Kona (Poly)


Good food and good service are pretty subjective. One person's experience could be the complete opposite of another's, but overall we've been happy with the food and service at these places.

I'll have to disagree with Prime Time. The pot roast that I was served was just plain horrid. Very grisly and fatty. Just awful. The Liberty Tree Tavern has better pot roast on the lunch menu. Liberty Tree Tavern at lunch is a bit more affordable than the dinner which is a flat rate family style service.

OP, you might want to have a TS meal at lunch time. Portions are a bit smaller and they are a bit less expensive.

The Plaza Restaurant has a nice little sandwich style menu. And the prices are a bit less.

I've had two terrible meals at Kona, so we don't eat there anymore. GF Cafe is nice and a little less expensive as well.

Whispering Canyon Cafe (WL), The Plaza (MK), Sci-Fi Dine IN (DHS)

I know Sci-Fi gets mixed reviews, but the bacon cheeseburger is great! It isn't on the dinner menu, but you can still order it at dinner.

Rose and Crown is moderately priced. I would also suggest Wolfgang Puck Express. I know that its considered counter service on the dining plan but the food is actually a cut above the standard counter service fare. And you can sit either in or outside.

We also pay OOP but we do stay CL w/ a 40% off pin. Most of our TS meals are at lunch.

Lots of times we book late lunches and then snack our way through the parks.

We do have a few dinners booked on our upcoming trip, the nights we are having dinner are the nights Epcot is open till 12:00 midnight and MK is open till 2:00am.

By having a late lunch, your still paying lunch prices.

Also we have no problem with most of Disneys CS meals, many we enjoy more then some of it's TS meals for 1/4 the price.

You picked my 2 favorite restaurants in Disney!
For cheaper options:
Kona Cafe or Grand Floridian Cafe.
I can't recommend Ohana's (didn't like it) but a lot of people here love it and it is a lot of food for your $.
Sci Fi is fun just for burgers & shakes.
Some of the places in Epcot do a price fixed - Le Cellier (although now its signature for dinner and is more expensive anyway but for lunch its reasonable) or Chefs de France, Rose & Crown.
Wolfgang Pucks downtown.

Yak & Yeti
