Moderate Room Discount?

I am a new DVC owner. As I understand it, we can pay cash for some nights of our stay (ex: cash for Saturday night and points for the remainder of the week) and there is the possibility of a discount, based on availability, for the nights we pay cash. Do they ever offer discounts on moderate or deluxe resorts without the use of points?

We are using all of our annual allotted points for one trip but have another short weekend trip planned. For a short weekend, we don’t care where we stay as long as it is on-site. Is it possible that we could receive a discount through DVC or should we keep an eye on mousesavers.com for discount codes?

No, they only discount DVC rooms and then its only limited availability - there are not always member discountes available.

As crisi said, there are no DVC discounts. But there are often discounts and various kinds of packages offered at the non-DVC resorts through CRO. For example, there was the Free Dining MYW package the last two years which looks like it's going to be around this year as well.

Just keep checking the normal places.

If you're one of the many members taking advantage of the annual pass discount, you may be able to secure a really descent rate by being an AP holder. AAA is often good for a 20% discount, close to the actual DVC member 25% discount applied to DVC resorts.
