Our family of 3 will be book a trip for a week in September!! We are trying to figure out which moderate resort is the best! We are leaning towards CSR but have heard there isn't great food options onsite. We will have our 2 year old with us!

As far as we are concerned CSR is the best moderate for dining options, not even any comparison. There are way more places to eat there than most other resorts. If we are on the DDP, I especially want to be staying there.

- Maya Grill, full Table Service D
- Las Ventanas, casual Table Service B/L/D
- Pepper Market, Food Court but menu has better offering, bigger portions and on china B/L/D
- Siestas Cantina, Counter Service by pool, smaller menu all day includes mug refills
- Cafe Rix, To Go Counter, very nice selection all day
- Rix Lounge, very cool lounge that serves appetizers and flatbreads, evenings
- Full Room Service, B/D
- Coconino Lounge IF YOU BOOK Business Class, Breakfast and Evening appetizer and snacks with beer and wine

LOVE the food at CSR and the atmosphere. Go to Maya Grill....

Our favorite moderate is POR, but we have also stayed at CBR in past, and CSR last month because we could get a cheaper room there and enjoyed it there too. I consider POR to have the best food court for options/quality/speed of service, but overall POR does not have as many dining options as CSR as mentioned above.

Stayed at CSR about 4 years ago & we loved the Pepper Market, back then it was all you can eat breakfast for a QS credit. I think this has now changed but the food there was lovely. I agree there are more dining options at CSR than the other moderates.

I really like the look of the POR resorts & would probably chose to stay at either before going back to CSR. CBR in my opinion is the "least good" of the moderates.

There is no "best" moderate. It really depends on what you're expecting from your stay.

I like POR and POFQ for their convenience to DtD and their more intimate feel.

I like CBR for its Caribbean theme and its pool.

I like CSR for its food court and the amazing pool.

Each resort has its own positives and you really can't go wrong with any one of them. If I had to choose one, I would go with POFQ just because it feels more "romantic" to me.

If I could, I would definitely choose CS, then CBR then AKL. But any of those are great and same, imo.

CBR is a terrific place to stay. Of course your options may be limited if you take too long to decide and places fill up.... yes, even for September

CSR has amazing food option, we are huge fans of the Pepper Market. Also the rooms are very nice and you get the same tolietries as the deluxe resorts and the Digsite Pool is our favorite just behind stormalong bay!!

Is your main concern food options? Then CSR is the best option. With a two year old, if stroller, walking and buses are a concern I would say POFQ is your best bet, CSR and CBR are huge moderate resorts and it can be quite a walk from bus to room. CSR, CBR, and POR all have thousands of rooms so buses can be very crowded. POFQ can share buses with POR but the last two times we stayed they did not, and if they do pofq is first picked up and only has one bus stop. If your main concern is swimming, I would say CBR then CSR then POR then POFQ, for fun, but if it is what is least crowded then the order would be reversed, and with a two year old that may be important. If beds size are important than POR and CBR both have the pull down beds but at POR you can get a king bed with a pull down, in both POR and CBR you can get two queens and a pull down or in all of them you can get two queens.

For us, we don't eat at the hotel to often, so that is not important, we love the quiet and quent feel of POFQ that is our first go to even if food is not plentiful, because we have POR to share food, pools and resorts, but we also have a quick trip to dtd for food. If we need the pull down POR is our second choice. When the baby was younger POFQ was out absolute first even if we had to get two rooms, because being first on bus with stroller, able to get back to room in seconds and all was very important to us.

We love POR.......the food court there is great and has lots of food options.

The build your own pasta bar was a good option for us as the portions are large so we could get 2 and it would feed the 4 of us easily.

We have stayed at POR, CBR, and CSR. They are all very good places to stay. They all had great food options for the kids and great pools to play in. The landscapes are beautiful and for the most part are less hectic and loud than the value we stayed at. That being said, thousands of posts on here have compared them. Which is the best, which has better food, etc. We couldn't decide our first trip so we just picked one. Then we have tried the others on following trips. My advice would be to check out the resort descriptions and photos and then choose. I think your food options will be fine wherever you decide.

Thanks for everyones input!! We are now trying to decide between POR and CSR! My main concerns are food as stated above, (which everyone covered wonderfully) and the pools! Do all disney resorts have splash pads?
