Moderate Resort - Best Transportation?

I'm thinking about changing from a deluxe resort to a moderate resort this year to save some money. What moderate resort has the best overall transportation to/from the parks, specifically Magic Kingdom? What was your experience? Thanks.

We have stayed at all the mods and we prefer CBR and CSR for their transportation. Even though they are bigger resorts we never had a problem with either of their bus services. We never had a long wait and there were many busses running to get you to and from the parks. On the otherhand we have tried both POFQ and POR and experienced horrible bus service at both. We tried to make the best of it but we will never stay at either Port Orleans resorts again because of the poor bus transportation that they had.

Depending when you go im guessing depends on transportation at most resorts. We were at port orleans FQ last august and that is one of the main reasons we may go back. It was great.. with it being a small resort.. the bus was never crowded.. we only shared with Port Orleans Riverside once.

You'll probably get conflicting advice on this one... I've only stayed at CBR and POFQ. CBR had AWFUL bus service that left us waiting forever and since it's so big left us behind at the parks on several nights. POFQ never had long waits and the trip to the parks seemed very fast (I think AK ws furthest away)... being a small resort, we never had to wait and the boat trip to DTD was awsome.

I love pofq .. will be returning.

I agree with CinRell, you'll get conflicting reports since people's experiences vary so much within the huge system of Disney transportation! I had the best transportation at CBR, and I have stayed at all the mods. But that was just me. I think buses are hit and miss with each resort, I have posted my experiences with resort transportion among other issues only to have somebody else post something completely different, often when their stay was the same exact timeframe as mine! Of the mods, only the Port Orleans resorts share buses, and that isn't constant. I would say pick the resort that appeals to you the most with theming and location. I think to and from MK, they are all about even. The Port Orleans resorts are great if you spend a lot of time at DTD since they have the boat, other than that they all feel the same as far as parks are concerned. CSR buses are frequently not crowded since that resort caters to convention guests who often don't go to the parks.

Stayed at CBR and POFQ. Loved the transportation at both. Never stayed at CSR but never heard of consistent transpo problems there, either.

CSR!! It doesn't share with other resorts and only has 4 stops. CSR is the closest resort to 3 of the 4 parks. CSR is only 5 mins from AK and MGM, 7 mins from Epcot and 10 mins from MK.

We had great service at CSR- Late January- only once was the bus full- after illuminations when everybody and their brother was leaving. Csr is also centrally located- only minutes to everything but Downtown Disney. I think I would not consider a resort for bussing in regards to whether the bus shares servicing multiple resorts.
