I am trying to decide on our October trip where to stay. We have stayed at ASM and POP. ASM was not as bad as POP, but we still did not like the layout of the hotels. I know these places are huge, but after walking through the parks all day with 4 and 7 y/olds, the walk from the car/bus to the room seemed endless at the POP. We finally requested a room change after 2nd night of our 5 night trip because the walk to the room was miserable!!! Both girls were usually zonked out and had to be carried (they ARE princesses princess: ) Does anyone have any suggestions? We have been interested in POR or POFQ. Ideally we could have a monorail resort :earsgirl: I am even considering off-site Downtown Disney resorts just to be able to park next to my room. Am I whining?? Sorry..I may be a little lazy. We would like to spend some time at Downtown Disney and at the resort this time so a good resort is a must. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance :wave2:

POR is big and spread out it. If you get a room close to the bus stop great and if not it can be a bit of a walk. POFQ would probably not be as much of a walk since it is a smaller resort.
The Poly would be a good choice with the monorail right there and the resort is not as spread out as the mods to me.

Hi :earsboy: ,

I would try POFQ, it is the smallest of the moderates and request building close to the main building so you will not have to walk as far.

Check out Deb Willis' web site for maps of the resorts. The maps are located in the "photo" section of the resorts Here is the link:

The map of POFQ is included with the map POR. Hope this helps!!

I've never used a car but we have stayed at all the moderates. Can't help you with how far a room is from your car, but it did seem like the ones at CSR weren't too far away depending on the room. POFQ is small and we like the boat to DTD but again didn't pay much attention to the parking lot in relation to the rooms, although I know none are right outside the rooms. The bus stop isn't too far away especially if you ask for a room close to one. But then again I wasn't carrying a 4 and 7 year old. CBR we walked for about 3 min to our bus stop and that was through the parking lot. We walked about 4-5 minutes at POR for the bus stop but we were at the front near the river. Maybe if you had one of the back rooms it would be closer to the parking lot. We have also stayed at the Poly (not a moderate) and even though the monorail stops right at the main building, it is not a building you stay in. By the time you go downstairs the building we stayed at that was fairly close was farther than I would want to carry a sleeping 7 year old. And the parking lot seemed farther than at some of the moderates. I would ask for a room with entrance close to the parking lot.
Don't think you are lazy, after all the "queen" shouldn't have to carry sleeping princesses too far after walking all day.
