We stayed at CB last time and loved it! The kids really liked the pool, and we were overall really satissfied. This time we were thinking of staying at CS just to switch things up and see a new resort, however, I am a bit worried that I should just stick with what we love. Any comments from someone who has experienced both would be lovely!

We stayed at cbr in April and csr in June so very recent stays. We enjoyed both but for us, cbr suited us better. If it was just adults only I would prefer CSR. I thought that food options were better at CSR. I know some don't like it but we really enjoyed the pepper mill. Also, had no problem walking in to the TS restaurant and thought it was excellent. We found the food court just average at cbr. Both have beautiful grounds. I liked the queen beds at CSR but preferred our room at cbr (we booked a pirate room and loved it). But what pushes cbr up for us is the pool. Since you have stayed there you know how wonderful it is. My boys loved it and loved the kids area. The pool at CSR gets a lot of love on these boards and honestly, I just don't get it. Too us, it was a big pool that had a pretty pyramid. I know the slide is supposed to be good but my boys were too young. The kids area is seriously lacking and the pool is not zero entry. Both resorts had nice playgrounds but I preferred cbr for my kids. To us, bus service was about equal. I have seen a lot of people say that CSR buses are not crowded but this was not what we experienced. We had no problems with either but they were both crowded. Hope this helps a bit.

I love CSR queen beds and the food is pretty good...but if double beds don't bother you then CBR would be great for the pool alone for your kiddos

We've been to both. Actually last time I was depressed because I really wanted Wilderness Lodge again, but we decided to give CSR a try.

We really enjoyed it. Loved the Pepper Market buffet breakfast. And I loved that it didn't feel like it was as much walking at CBR. There's only 3 villages at CSR. Although if and when we go back, we are asking for a preferred location in order to get Casitas 1, 2, or 3. The same goes if we go back to CBR. I want a preferred location.

There are some photos on our trip photo report below. The January 2012 one is the one with the CSR photos. I think it is just 2 pages long.

Those are my two favorite resorts, really. CSR is a tiny bit more my style, and I wasn't expecting that from the website pics. Both restaurants are great imo (though Mayan Grill a bit better); I don't really love the counter service options at either place, but that's just *** I rarely like the counter service at the resorts. Pepper Market makes you tip, I think, too.

The pool at CBR is a bit more convenient to get to, and has the cool pirate ship theme, although the CSR pool is cool too. It just takes a bit to actually get to as it's clear across the property from the main building.

When there are conventions going on CSR tends to have a more business vibey feel which can be a bit awkward with kids, but it's not too bad.

CBR also has the island playground which is a nice touch. CSR doesn't have a playground, right?

It's really a tossup.

I love CSR! I love it so much I gave up the Yacht Club for it! I love the modern rooms, digsite pool, Rix Lounge, and the grounds are just so nice. Also their bus service has always been amazing.

Thank you all for the advice. We are really struggling with this one. It is the fear of the unknown!:confused3

Really - you can't go wrong either way.

Awesome about the playground! :thumbsup2 Where is it? Can't believe I never saw it before, we stayed there several times.

CSR for my family, if you are on the DP. I love the set-up pool and rooms. CBR has a great pool, but every time we've been there it is a zoo. DS loves the slide at the CSR pool and the play area.

The reason I say if you are on a DP is that the Pepper Mill prices are pretty steep (nearly double that of a CBR entree) for the breakfast and lunch buffet unless you have a QS credit to use.

It seems like it was just to the left of the dig site pool. But left is relative. Not sure which direction you would be coming to the dig site pool. We were coming around from Casitas 5.

If you are standing in front of the Siesta pool bar (back to the pool), the playground is to your right in front of the dressing rooms and arcade. I believe there is an outdoor ping pong table right there also.

Ah, OK.

We usually stayed at CSR for our one-night weekend trips. So we didn't really explore much of it except for the main lobby area - and of course we checked out the pool, too. Now there's more reason to return. :thumbsup2

My thoughts exactly. :thumbsup2 Best bus service on site. There have only been a couple of times where I've had to stand on the CSR bus, unlike other mods. Love the pool area and amenities.

It actually does, have a playground..(Dig Site ) near the main pool. Slides and swings & giant sand box, and other stuff...Actually its quite entertaining for kids of all ages.

B.T.W. My vote goes to CSR as well....by far....
IMHO CSR is not only the best Mod out there, but we consider it just below deluxe...sort of a Deluxe Lite.....

From the best bus system to the Mayan Grill, & Pepper Market, to the 2nd or 3rd best Main pool in WDW, to the comfy queen Beds, & decor, to the beautiful Grounds....Hmmm It's safe to say I like( Love ) this resort.. LoL.

Thank you all! We ended up going with CBR because of the pool and food court. We did book our last two nights at AKL though, so we are very excited!
