Moderate Fans!

I simply love the moderates For a reasonable price, I can stay at a beautifully themed resort. They are gorgeous, peaceful and tranquil. They're like a mini-vacation unto themselves. It's so nice to come back to them after a tiring day of touring. I love having fun at the big main pools, or just relaxing late night at one of the quiet pools. I have always had good experiences with the buses. I enjoy the convenience and selections at the food courts, and also like having the option of a sit-down meal.

It just seems like everyone around here is either "Deluxe or Value" without giving much thought to the great options in between

So, why do you like the mods? And do you think Disney will ever build a new one?

I love the mods because I fell like I'm getting the best of both worlds. A reasonable price with some deluxe amenities (at least at CSR). Mu kids love having the slide, my DH and I love the hot tub and the better restaurants.

I love CSR which is a moderate. It offers much more than a traditional moderate. It has a spa, salon, fitness center, full menu room service, a great hot tub (largest on WDW property), many great lounges, an awesome pool/slide and no shared transportation.

we love them too, our favorite is POR, great theming of rooms and grounds, we'll be there soon.

My fave is POR, but I also love the FQ and how the pool, food court and rooms are all pretty near to eachother. This next trip I am giving CSR a try....Mods Rock!!!

I agree that the mods are great! To me the grounds are what make them so fantastic. I love to stroll around and take in the scenery. I also love the boat to DTD at POR. I have considered upgrading to deluxe, but I don't want to be in a hotel with interior corridors. Plus, I just can't justify the cost I'd rather take more than one trip a year.

I love the mods having just booked my third trip at CBR. Beautiful themeing, much less garish then the values, great pools, quieter(well for the most part)good food court, decent room size and the fab marina at CBR.

To me they are the perfect in between.

I am now an owner of DVC an probably won't be staying in a mod too much but I still love the whole PO resorts. I think in terms of food courts the mods beat any deluxe. I think the quality of the resorts in that range can not be beat for the price!

One of the things we love about the moderates is that you can park near your room.

That's a key thing for people who park hop by car. And one of the things we miss when we stay at DVC these days.

All the mods look really great- and it would be our choice if we didn't have so many kids! With a limit to 4 in a room at all but the one, mods don't accommodate families of 5 or more.

We have only stayed at MODS and We Love them.
Our favorite Mod is POR with POFQ very close.
I think you get so much for a reasonable price.
They are all very relaxing and have beautiful landscapes.
I did price what it would cost to move up to WL for our next
trip and it would be close to an additional $1000.00 (for cheapest room)
so I I would rather stay at a MOD and have the extra cash for other things.
My DH refuses to even try a Value because he wants a
quiet place when he comes home from the parks.
He really looks forward to our WDW Vacations and so do I.
