Mode of transportation from MK to Swan Hotel at closing?

I will be traveling to Disney next week with my DH, our 15 mo DD, my 80 yr old Grandma, my Mom, and two of my siblings.

My DH will be attending a conference so he will not be joining us at MK. The day that we decided to go to MK, it's EMH night. My DH plan to meet my mom, grandma and DD at the MK gates after the fireworks and take them back to the hotel while my siblings and I will stay and take advantage of EMH.

My question is this: We have a rental car. What is the best way for my DH to take them back to Swan Hotel? Drive the car or rely on the shuttle bus? Please note that there will be a stroller and a wheelchair as well. If my DH is taking the car, he will have to park in the parking lot and take a boat to the front gate? What about the shuttle bus? Is this a straight shot? Please advise. TIA!

He has a couple of options. He can't drive right up to the MK...the parking lot for MK is across the lake. You park there, then use either the ferry boat or the monorail to get to the MK. So, he would have to either go to MK via the boat or monorail or those needing the ride would have to go to him.
He could possibly park at the CR, then walk over to the MK front area, meet up with everyone and then walk back to the CR with them..takes about 8 mins each way. He shouldn't have to much issue parking there for such a short period of time. He can explain to the security CMs and hopefully have no issues parking there.
Or, he can take the shuttle bus from the Swan, over to MK, meet up with everyone at the bus stop, and then help out with getting everyone on the bus. The bus stops are right at the MK..so much easier.
Is grandma able to get out of her wheelchair and get onto the bus? If not, they will have to get on a bus that is able to tie her down...so to speak. The vast majority of buses have this ability, but others may get there first....there are only so many spaces on each bus for those with wheelchairs or ECVs.

Like goofy4tink said, I think a LOT depends on how able-bodied your grandmother is - and also whether or not you've got a stroller for your daughter.

All I can see in my mind is your poor husband trying to push a wheelchair AND a stroller at the same time.

Also, does grandma have a handicap tag?

If your husband uses the rental car, as has been stated, he's going to have to park, monorail/ferry to the Magic Kingdom and then repeat the process - with an 80 year old and a 15 month old. I think it would probably be easier to actually take the bus. (And yes goofy4tink - I completely see the irony in ME recommending busses! Keep that RIGHT to yourself! ;) ) He'd cut down on the whole monorail/ferry issue, and the bus driver would be helping to get grandma onto the bus.

If a stroller is involved in this, then I'd have him park the rental car, and I would go with him to get your daughter and grandma into the car, and even go back to the hotel to help get them into the room. Then bus or drive back to the Magic Kingdom.
