Mod question.. FP+ in it's own forum?

Honest question out of curiosity only, not complaining at all, but it seems that FP+ threads have been showing up most often (in plurality) within this forum and from the titles it seems many are asking the same questions or advice.

I read many of them at first, got the idea, and plan to make my own judgement when I'm there this August. Now I just scroll past them, not a big deal.

As I said, not a complaint, I'm happy to scroll on by, just a curious question for the mods, at what point does one topic garner so much attention that it deserves it's own forum (or sub-forum at least)?

This is a FAQ.

There is nothing so tied and infused into Theme Parks Strategies as FP+.

I would love to see a sub form for FP+. YES! :thumbsup2

BUT, I also get the reasoning for it staying here.

The only thing moving FP+ to its own subforum would accomplish is making the Theme Park Strategies section pretty slow moving in comparison. FP+ is a huge part of touring, especially because so many DISers who are experienced in other aspects of touring are still fairly new to it.

FP+ discussion is much more suited to this section than many other threads that are here. I'm talking about the type that discuss your dream Disney job, cute things you see in the park, etc. Those have absolutely nothing to do with planning.

No way, this site is already to divided into way to many forums. If anything, some need to be consolidated.

FP+ is often grouped in with the other issues of the new system MDE (linking, website problems and app problems) and MB (which seem ok until they don't work). Different issues, to be sure. Maybe giving FP+ it's own forum would separate out these very different issues or maybe it would bury them. Not sure.

Exactly. This is a "strategies" board. FP+ has changed the game and these strategies need to be vetted. If anything, it is the "Elsa Costumes" threads that should be jettisoned to a different board. :faint:

The problem is that the number of truly helpful FP+ threads that provide ACTUAL strategies and manages to stay on topic are VASTLY outnumbered by the FP+ threads that are just various retreads of the same complaints and arguments that veer wildly off topic.

Ain't that the truth! You need a strategy just to get through the posts without pulling your hair out.
Also agree with Jimmy V. There are quite a few threads that have nothing to do with strategy.

I agree. In particular, there's a lot of just back threads (which are supposed to be moved to the trip report forum) and for fun threads, which should be in the theme park community forum.
