Some of the kiosks offering coffee drinks (the ones operated by Joffrey's Coffee and Tea Company) will not accept dining credits at all. These kiosks usually have a sign to that effect.

At CS - the frozen cappuccino at MK Bakery counted as a snack credit (I wasn't getting anything else so I don't know if it counted as a drink). At TS I've had no issues getting specialty coffees or teas as my drink.
