Mobile ordering and AP discount

We are going to Disney this June and, for the first time, will not have the dining plan. We are AP holders and love using the mobile order feature. Are we able to get our AP discount when we mobile order or are we "forced" to stand in those long lines at the QS restaurants? Also, are the meals able to be charged to our room or does it go straight on a credit card? I was hoping to charge it to our room and just use gift cards to pay the balance.

Only a couple QS restaurants offer an AP discount (I believe a couple of places at DS) and none of those have mobile ordering. Mobile order charges to the linked credit card.

I didn't realize this... I just assumed that all QS locations had a discount. Thanks!

No. Even TiW discount is usually just QS where there is no or limited TS.

As a Disneyland passholder, I find it strange that Disney World doesn't give AP discounts at ALL counter service and table service restaurants. I also find it strange that mobile order doesn't apply any applicable discount (TIW, CM, AP, etc.) like Disneyland's app does.

You also can't make change requests in the Mobile Order (ie. ordering a hotdog at Casey's Corner automatically comes with a side of fries. If you won't want the fries either to save money or calories, you have to order in person)

Really, you can't customize on the Disney World app? Wow, Disneyland mobile ordering is way ahead of Disney World's.

It's like the two resorts don't communicate. The food is better at Disneyland, yet I'm sure the same recipes should be available for WDW restaurants. Food quality should be consistent between the two as should the discounts.

There are TIW discounts at the AK quick service restaurants and, sadly, you can't get those discounts when mobile ordering. Really annoying.

That is true for a few but not all, I used to love at Flame Tree but alas the food quality has gone down and I stopped eating there. That leaves Pizzafari, which we don't like, and Restaurantosaurus. Restaurantosaurus was one that I used last summer (when I didn't have my TiW renewed) and mobile order was something of a fail. I ordered, I placed the order as we walked up. We were sent to the line to the right as were others who ordered. No one was working the line. After about 15+ minutes and several people standing there I was able to get someone to leave their station and fill our orders. It would have been faster in a regular line, at least I didn't give up the discount.

I won't be surprised if this stops though as there are now more dining options than when this was started.
