Hi! We normally eat at off-times and I don't know that it will be super crowded when we go. It's just our preference to not use mobile order unless necessary. Most place we can just wait in line, correct?

thanks!

Yes, I think all places now do take walk-up orders, however do note that the bandwidth for this may be reduced. Like I know at Satu'li, they have one register for it, and the others are all for mobile order. If there is a line it will take longer. If you are at an off-time, it might not matter too much. A CM may ask when you enter certian places if you have a mobile order, but you can tell them that you need to order and they will direct you.

Is there a disadvantage to mobile ordering? I could see if you have an allergy. Just wanted to make sure I'm not missing something. We don't eat a lot of Disney food, so have only done mobile ordering a few times.

Not that I know of. We are just very spur of the moment and often don't choose where to eat a snack or quick service until we are literally in front of it. At that point would rather just go in and order!

We do this but still mobile order, it's far easier. There has only been a select few times mobile order wasn't available for the place we wanted to eat.

I'm always in line behind someone that is staring at the menu while in line ordering, behind someone ordering for the family of 50 while asking each one individually what they want or behind an adult who insists on asking there 3 year old what they want to eat.

You can still mobile order at pretty much the last minute. When they had first shifted toward favoring mobile order and I walked in to Satu'li, the CM actually told me that there was a small line and it would be faster to just step outside, place my Mobile Order, then come back in. It was. You can tap it in while walking over to the place and usually get it pretty much right away, especially at off-times. If it's a particularly busy day and you want lunch at noon, that wouldn't be so feasible, but the walk-up lines are going to be long too, so it might not matter.

WE will mix but all places can be ordered inside. As far as Satu'li we have always found it faster to order inside. This year there was no one in line - park was busy a lot brought there own food and were eating outside. Last year when it was crowded the app said next available time was 30 minutes for pick up walked to the short register line and had the food in 10. They also always had multiple registers open when we were there in summer months.

Some customization options might not be in the app, and I've seen a few cases of items not being on the mobile order menu. Although I believe Disney has been working to correct the second issue, when I was there last December, some items at resort quick service restaurants and Geyser Point were not on the menu.

That's true. There are sometimes options, but not always - it's inconsistent for sure.

Usually if you want to leave a topping off, that's easy to uncheck. It's also easy to pick a side dish at places where you have multiple options. But if you want to substitute something or add an unconventional topping, I don't think you can.

One that I have is that I do all the app work on our trips. That's fine if it's just me and my partner, but when other couples are involved paying gets trickier since it will all end up on my card. So I find myself needing to teach people to use the app themselves, put other payment info into my app, or, order in person. Unless I've missed an obvious solution to my problem.

Well, the solution to that would be for them to have their own MDE account and then link to you as a friend that you can manage their reservations, etc. but they can have their own payment information. That said, I travel with some people who don't go that often, and it's easier for them to just have a profile on my MDE and in that case, yeah, their mobile orders are on my card. I mean, I trust them and all and we square it up later, but it is a pain too.

I’m with you. We do occasionally mobile order, but I find it quicker and easier to eat at off times and just walk up to a cashier and order. We’ve never had an issue/problem doing this at any quick service location.
