Moana Merchandise?

I was very disappointed in the lack of Moana merchandise in the parks, especially considering how well the movie did. Also, they have even named the store at Poly Moana Mercantile and there were only a few small figurine play sets there.

Agreed - was also in WDW last week and very disappointed in lack of Moana merch - especially pins!!!!! I just don't understand :confused3

So .. does WDW move away from movie merchandise too soon? I mean . .I guess with how many movies they pump out every year between Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel and WD Animation, I bet they just can't afford the room to keep a movie merch in the stores too long before they want to promote the next movie.

It just seems like they are missing an opportunity, especially since Moana came out on video shortly before my trip in March.

I have a feeling there is a good reason ($$$) why they are not carrying Moana stuff. It has to come down to money. I don't what and why but everything Disney does is usually about the $$. We were there last week and our daughters love Moana and we could not find anything. We bought the figurines online and they are being shipped. Even the Poly had hardly anything. VERY disappointing.

Hi everyone! We're leaving for Disney in a couple days (!!!). My daughter is totally Moana obsessed (and we're super bummed that the M&G isn't happening right now). Does anyone know if there is any special Moana merchandise anywhere in the parks? Is there a Moana dress and accessories at Castle Couture?

Thanks! :)
We were at WDW last week and asked several CMs at MK, AK and Moana Mercantile in the Poly. They had only a handful of items at the Poly and nothing at all in the other places - we wanted a plush heihei and had no luck. The CMs at the large Main Street store in MK said that "for some reason" they have nothing Moana-related. I heard two other guests ask about Moana merchandise as I was leaving the store. I've never seen Disney drop the ball on merchandising but it looks like that happened here. There's obviously a market, and with the Rock as Maui and music by Lin-Manuel Miranda, it's hard for me to believe Disney thought no one would want the stuff.

I'm surprised by all of these reports! When we were there in December they had Moana dresses over by the Flying Carpets (Agrabah Bazaar I think?) in MK, and DD bought the wind-up Pua at AK. We also saw the plastic playsets at both AK and MK. Sad that they are gone...perhaps they are sold out? I remember when Frozen first came out it was difficult to keep the merchandise in stock.

Sold out is one thing, but I asked CM's and they said that they didnt expect to get any more items
