Moana Meet and Greet

Has anyone met Moana at Hollywood Studios lately? I'm making touring plans for our early May trip and wondering if we need to hit right at opening (if she's there at opening on EMH days) to avoid a 45 min+ line.

There is word that Moana will actually be moving to Magic Kingdom. I am not sure when they are doing that, but keep it in mind for your plans.

Yes, there is a thread somewhere on the DIS about her moving. She definitely won't be at HS beginning mid April, but the move to MK is just rumor for now as far as I know. We really wanted to meet her in early May too, so I hope she ends up somewhere!

Oh man that's a bummer. Sure hope she turns up somewhere on a regular basis, we told the kids about the trip last night and they psyched about meeting Moana more than anything else....

I believe Moana's last day at the studios is April 16th (could be 14th) I have a horrible memory. The area next to Sunshine Terrace in Adventureland is being refurbed right now which is where I think she'll be meeting. It used to be Peter Pan's old meeting place

I don't think they will replace Elena anytime soon, she has proven to be very popular. I think Moana fits perfectly in Adventureland

I haven't heard anything. I've seen Rafiki a couple of times in the past month and I thought he had been dropped

She is supposedly moving but for reference this week we went by twice this week and both times it was at 50 minutes ... and that is with her hidden. I think it might be more popular at MK.

Disney is casting Starlord and that's the rumored character going in no date on that yet. I'm assuming it's right around may 4th since that's when the movie comes out

We went right at rope drop as our original plan of RNR was blown when the ride went down. It was a 5 min wait. I'm glad I went then because we never saw the posted wait time lower than 45 min the rest of the day. She was probably our best interaction of the whole trip. My dd adored her !

I hope they move it. That line is horrible. It's a really small space that is so crammed. We had luck waiting until 10 minutes before park closing. (2 weeks ago). She was worth it though. It was the most anticipated character of this trip, and didn't disappoint.

Another early May go-er with Moana on their list! I have a feeling she won't be set up in her new place (if she is in fact moving), but I hope she is. My boys are obsessed...it is on right now lol.

We are going first week in May and really hope she is somewhere. We have some wonderful pictures of my daughter with her, but now my son is interested in meeting her (hadn't seen the movie before).
