From those that have been in the past, some help please. I plan on arriving in WDW between Friday, Oct. 29 to Sunday, Oct. 31. Am I correct that MNSSHP historically does not run on Saturday nights? Should I therefore expect that (at least for me) I should plan on choosing either Friday, Oct. 29 or Sunday, Oct. 31. I know that the dates will be out soon enough, but I'm thinking about making my ressies real soon and want to plan accordingly. Also, I know that Oct. 31 is probably the busiest night of MNSSHP. Will it be any less busy on Oct. 29?

Thanks.

Yes, you are correct. There usually is no party on Saturdays.

You will have to choose between Oct 29 and Oct 31 and that's a tough call. I think both will be pretty busy. Oct 29 is a Friday and it's the last 'weekend' party of the year so it will also attract many locals. Then you've got Halloween which is traditionally busy because it's Halloween but at least it's on a school and work night.

If I had to choose between those two, I'd pick Halloween since I think that Friday will be almost as busy, if not as busy as Halloween.

We are actually going Halloween night because we planned it that way; we arrive at WDW on October 30.

Enjoy whichever night you choose buy early cause they both will sell out.

We went on Halloween night a couple years ago and didn't think crowds were that bad. The lines for the candy were longer than the lines for the rides. My granddaughter isn't a big candy eater so she just jumped in candy lines that we ran across that were short, otherwise, she chose to skip them.

I think that Halloween fell on a Friday night that year. But since it's on Sunday night this year it might be slower. I'd chose 10/31.

Personally I think both 10/29 and 10/31 will be sell-outs. We did 10/31 this past year and it was a sell out. As was the night before (a Thurs night). Anyhow--- my response-- NEVER AGAIN!! I would love to do MNSSHP again at the beginning of the month. The lines for candy were 100++++ people long. While they moved, it was still taking close to 15 minutes for a bit size piece of candy. Toontown was wall-to-wall. You could not move and inch. It didn't clear out after the first parade as was suspected. The rare characters had lines of 45+ minutes. The rides were managable. So if you want to go for the rides, great night to do it. Otherwise, I would never go on a sold out night again. Please don't get me wrong I think MNSSHP is great. But it was really hard to enjoy. The crowds were comparable to what I've expierenced Easter week!!!

We went on Halloween last year. It was crowded, but it wasn't uncomfortable for the 11 of us.

IMO the ONLY time to do MNSSHP is on Halloween!!

I agree. I went on Halloween night because I figured if I'm down there during Halloween what better place to be on Halloween night than at the MK?

It was crowded but we really focused on the trick or treating, the atmosphere and the parade and had a blast seeing all the costumes etc... We went knowing it would be crowded.

We had so much fun, we're going again this year on Halloween!:teeth:

I don't think Disney wants to charge guests to enjoy Saturday nights in the off season. The rest of the week already closes pretty early. Saturday has the Spectromagic parade and Wishes fireworks and usually closes between 10 and 11.

I think regular guests who do not want to attend a special event that costs extra would be pretty upset if MK closed at 6:00 on Saturdays!!

We've been to MNSSHP twice on Halloween including this past Halloween.

Even though the party was sold out both years, we didn't think the crowds were bad at all with the exception of Mickey's Toontown as Kilee said.

Maybe we were just in the right place at the right time, but we had waits of less than five minutes on rides like Splash Mountain, POTC, Space Mountain and even Haunted Mansion, which you'd think would be really crowded on Halloween!

We didn't really focus on trick or treating in the park, but later in the evening, after 9pm, the lines are pretty short. We came across CMs handing out candy in Frontierland and Adventureland with NO LINE!
