Hey guys. I've decided that I would like to actually do MNSSHP in Sept however when I mention this my DH thinks that it is just for kids. We are doing an adult only trip this time for our anniversary and would really like to do this. Do you think it is just for kids or do just as many adults go as kids? The party and the Keys to the Kingdom tour are the 2 things that are a must to me this trip. TIA!! :)

Oh and does anyone remember how much it is approx. for an adult? If I remember correctly from this year they were around $60.

Without kids? lol Asking purely for my DH as I don't care either way.

Nobody cares if you're there with kids or not. It is my family's favorite event at Disney, and that would be true with or without my DD9.

My wife and I attended a MNSSHP without children and had a terrific time.
We didn't put on costumes but the next time we will. We did treat or treat with everyone else and did enjoy seeing parents and kids dressed for Halloween. The parade and fireworks were great. Have a blast.:wave2:

My DD(16) and I just attended. BEST PARADE EVER! We didn't feel out of place. Lots of adults only!

I went as a solo adult this past year and last year with an adult friend (at DLR). We had a great time and it wasn't weird at all. I think it is much better than Universal's Halloween. The only difference to an adult might be availability of alcohol, but I prefer candy anyway! The Halloween parade is awesome, as is HalloWishes! Nobody will give you a second look if you don't have kids with you. If you are at all into Halloween, it is the best!

We went for the first time this year. It is really really fun. I never thought I would like it better than MVMCP (especially since I'm not really a Halloween fan), but I did. The parade and castle villians show are great, as is the lighting and decorations. DH and I both loved seeing all the grown ups in costume. We saw some with some terrific costumes and even got a picture of a few that we were standing in line with and chatted with while meeting characters. We did have DD(7) with us, but we saw a ton of adults who did not have kids with them. We also saw a ton of adults without kids meeting the characters, so don't be shy about that either. I love our ghost magic shots with the hitchhiking ghosts and hearse carriage ghost. We actually went to 2 parties (and I'm very glad we took hitchhiking ghost shots both nights because it turned out they were different ghosts!) ! DH agrees it was incredibly fun. If you want to go, I say absolutely do it! If we went without DD (which we wouldn't dare!), I'd definitely go. I so wish I had gotten a photo of the over 6 foot tall burly Dad dressed as Tinkerbell- there were some great costumes- but I think he was my favorite. He did have kids- the things Dads will do for their little girls. :rotfl:.

I've been 6 times - this was the first year we had a kid.

Thanks everyone. We will definitely buying the tickets when they come out. Does anyone know when they will be released, I'm assuming in the summer sometime.

I've never been to MNSSHP with anyone under the age of 27, and that 27 year old was me. :wave2:

Seriously though it's a blast, and one of my favorite things to do in Disney. The Parade, the Fireworks, the atmosphere in general. Just a really good time, no kids required, just bring the kid inside.

We are all adult family, travel with other all adult families - we love the parties and we always dress up!!! We go twice each year for the last eight years now. I look around and honestly think most groups are all adults, and most of them are dressed up! Go - have fun!!!!!

It's around $60 per ticket, and it's totally a thing that just adult groups can do!
I went 4 times this year, one of them solo, and loved it every time! It's an awesome experience and party!

-If you're into characters, there are lots of rare characters, villains, etc, that kind of thing!

-Rides have super low wait times as not a lot of people are on the rides during the party

-Special parade, fireworks, and stage show which hold the top of the list as my absolute favourites of all time!

-You get to dress up and trick or treat, which can be super fun to go "back" to like when you were a kid!

It's a great night and so much fun, definitely not just for kids!
