Hi all. I am soo glad I found this 'community' Even though I am mostly a 'lurker' I have gathered a ton of information! We are waiting on our paperwork from the Timeshare Store for an OKW resale. I check my email about once a minute I think!! Nothing yet, but I'm sure it will be here soon. I would like to take my daughter to MNSSHP for her birthday, October 26 to 29 (or so) Can anyone tell me their thoughts on getting a reservation then. Is it really busy? How does the 'party' work? I appreciate anyone taking the time to respond.

We went to MNSSHP in 2001. My DD 4 then now9. Loved it. Still talks about it occasionally. She got to dress up and go trick or treating through the park as well as ride some rides. There is a great parade. It was kind of busy, but not to bad the most we waited for a rides was about 20 minutes (if I remember correctly). You will have a good time.:)

We have been there the past two years at the time you are talking about going. 2 years ago, it was wonderful -- we went the Friday before Halloween and the crowds were very manageable and we walked on all the rides several times. Last year was extremely crowded because of the Hurricane and a lot of southern Florida were at Disney. It was still fun though. The atmosphere, fireworks, parades, and dance parties are so much fun. We are planning on going October 27th this year. We might see you there! :bounce:

I think you'll be able to get a villa if that's what your asking. You'll have plenty of time in the OKW exclusive period, and if you want to switch, you'll have your points for the 7 month mark too.

We loved the MNSSHP and the fireworks were new in '05 and they were spectacular!! Lots of candy, lots of fun, children had dancing parties. If you do go, consider eating in LTT or CP around 5, so you won't miss "valuable" party time eating.

We (me, dw, dd's 7 & 11) went to the party in September (the first of 2005). It was great!

You get a hard ticket for the event. If you have a park pass, you can enter the park when you want (you'll get your ticket scanned for a wristband starting after 4PM). If you are in the park at closing, they heard you into Tomorrowland. We had reservations at Liberty Tree, so we didn't have to do that. We just ate and by the time were were done the park was reopened for the party.

There is a cute parade, featuring a very fast ride-by of the Headless Horseman. The fireworks were fantastic! There are special decorations all around, and stations where they deal out candy - you can get heaps if you want! They also take a free picture, which it sent to you after the party.

Many of the rides are open. It was really a great time. We did it as a surprise trip - just got the kids after school (they had an institute day the next day) and went to the airport!

You have to buy tickets, I recommend getting them in advance through the WDW website. If you wait until you're there they may be sold out.

When you get to the Magic Kingdom you show your ticket to get a wrist band. That will allow you on any of the rides. There may be people still in the park from earlier that day, but without a wrist band they don't get on the attractions.

You get a special park map showing trick or treat locations and special character greeting areas. There's also a special parade and fireworks show. And adults can dress up if they want.

Keep an eye on disneyworld.com/holidays for date information and ticket sales.

That is our favorite time of year, we just booked today 10/29-11/8 in a 1 bedroom!

By all means, go. We went twice this year. It's fun to just walk around and look at everyone. The parade is fantastic and the fireworks are great. If your kids are in their teens, also think about Halloween Horror nights at Universal.

I LOVE THIS THREAD :teeth:
We are doing our first MNSSHP, kids already have costumes picked out, and we have our 1 bedroom at BCV, our first trip to our REAL home, we stayed at BWV in Jan but own at BCV

CANT WAIT :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

There will be alot of us there this time due to the Member Cruise! :thumbsup2

Also remember, that your hard ticket will get you into the parks @ 4:00 p.m. so you don't have to waste a days ticket!

Best to take it easy that day since there is a lot of running around that night!

Cant's wait! This will be our third year going!
