MNSSHP vs MVMCP

Heres my dilemma....we're only going to be able to make one of these...and seeing as how we've never done either before, Im having trouble deciding. Which do your kids seem to enjoy more, or does it make a difference, and which is 'cooler' for adults too, are crowds horrible for both?

This is a no-brainer.

MNSSHP is easily better than MVMCP. I have been to both and we so much more enjoyed our MNSSHP experience. I found MVMCP to be overly crowded. The parade was good, not great. Twas was really the only redeeming factor, but not enough to make me go back.

During MNSSHP, the candy is much better than the cocoa for the xmas party. The characters were better at the halloween party with lots of villains and such out. Finally the Coup de Gras.. Mickey's Boo to You Parade is by far the best parade/nighttime event at DW all year long, dont miss it!! I still find myself humming the music from it from time to time.

You have to have a seperate ticket for these right? When does one normally get them, and how. Do they sell out quickly or is that normally not a problem. We probably wont be bookin for another month or two but I dont want to miss out getting tickets either

These parties are separate ticketed events. They normally clear out the park at about 6pm (it used to be 4pm which was awesome) and the party "officially" starts at 7pm.

There are some of the dates that sell out, but only very few sell out well in advance. I would think if you are making your reservations in a month, you will be fine for whatever date you want.

Just some advice... the parties tend to get more crowded the closer you get to the holiday they are celebrating. In addition, there are certain parties that are "discount" nights for AP holders and others and those tend to sell out and be VERY crowded. My advice would be to stick to a Sunday night party. Normally these are not discount nights and they have lighter crowds.

Im just a little confused....
I checked ticket prices and dates, but are those prices in addition to your regular admission for the day? I saw an ad that said you could incorporate the MNSSHP into your magic your way package, but not really sure how that works.

Yes, those tickets are in addition to your regular admission for the day. Disney "officially" closes the park at 6pm on those nights. As far as incorporating into the "magic your way" probably means they add that into your total ticket price.

Disney closes at party time 7pm for day guests..Not 6pm. They used to close at 6pm when they used to close and clear the park first. They no longer do that. The party tickets are a separate charge and a separate ticket. They are not part of your park tickets. PArty guests can enter the MK at 4pm using only their party ticket. If you enter before that then you need a Park ticket AND a party ticket. After 7pm Guests without a ticket.party armband are asked to leave MK and Cms start asking people to see their armbands.
